Conrad Murray Protests His Innocence, Calls Michael Jackson an Addict on 'Today' (VIDEO)

Michael Jackson's former doctor, Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the pop singer's death on Nov. 7. Before the guilty verdict, Murray sat down with Savannah Guthrie for a revealing 'Today' interview that touched on many of the fundamental details presented at the trial.In the interview, Murray admits that after administering Jackson the surgical sedative Propofol, Murray left the room to talk on the phone for far longer than the two minutes he initially admitted. "I wanted him to rest ... I could not see him from where I was talking," Murray said, later admitting that if Jackson stopped breathing, he would not have been able to hear it.

Last night Nancy Grace had more on her mind than just her low scores on 'Dancing With the Stars.' Talking to reporters backstage afterward she was more preoccupied with the guilty verdict that had been handed down to Conrad Murray just a few hours before. And, being Nancy Grace, she had a zinger or two to let us know how she really feels about it."Well, once I found out it was a guilty verdict that's really all I needed to know," she told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "I only wish it had been murder one, because murder one deserves life behind bars, not four years."
Discussing Murray's future prospects, Grace told 'THR': "When he gets out, I got news for him ... God's gonna get him. He's gonna be mis-er-able. He can run but he can't hide. Hey! He and Casey Anthony can have a tea party in four years."

Conrad Murray -- Michael Jackson's personal doctor -- will attempt to duck manslaughter charges by claiming that the King of Pop killed himself. 'TMZ' (weekdays, syndicated on Fox) has the scoop. Murray claims that he only injected Jackson with 25 milligrams of the sedative Propofol, which is the drug that led to Jackson's lethal cardiac arrest.Watch the video after the jump.
Dr. Conrad Murray Eyeing TV Special?

Dr. Conrad Murray, personal physician to the late Michael Jackson, is reportedly getting in on the TV game. TMZ is reporting that Murray has teamed with a British documentary crew to shoot a one-episode TV special that reveals his first day back on the job on Nov. 23. A spokesperson told TMZ that the footage will center on "the reaction of patients to his return."
