Becoming Special Friends on 'Cougar Town' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted May 6th 2010 12:30AM
What do you do once you've slept with someone -- and you're not ready to take things to the next level? Jules (Courteney Cox) and Grayson (Josh Hopkins) have finally had sex on 'Cougar Town' (Wed., 9:30PM ET on ABC). But now, they don't know what to do. So Grayson gently suggests that they take things in a more "FWB" direction. What does that mean?Jules says that maybe the whole having sex thing should just be "a one time deal." Grayson offers a mild rebuttal to this. "Or," he says, "we could just be friends... with benefits."
"You snuck that in at the end, didn't you?" Jules replies. "Friends... with benefits." Yes. Well played, Grayson.

ABC orders full seasons of The Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town
by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 9th 2009 8:37AM
I've always heard that three out of four ain't bad. But if you're Kelsey Grammer, it's a whole different ball game. While there's been no word on the horrid Hank, ABC has ordered full season pick-ups for the rest of their Wednesday comedy block. At this point, I'd say that was inevitable. ABC's bold experiment of a whole new night of programming seems to have worked out.Early buzz on Modern Family particularly brought people to sample the wares, and luckily that show delivered. The Middle has been impressive as well, and would probably fare even better if it switched places with Cougar Town. Courteney Cox's latest vehicle is much better than I expected, but not up to the creative caliber of its lead-ins.
As for Hank? Well, it is the only multi-camera comedy on the night, so it stands out a bit in that respect. Oh, and its derivative and lacking in any originality or, and this one can be a bit of a problem, comedy. So there's that to deal with as well.

If you haven't seen our game before, we give you a picture from a recent episode of a TV series and you provide the caption!
Last week's winner is stacey with this: "It's a pleasure to meet you, Dorothy. My name is Scarecrow, this is Cowardly Lion, and I know the Tin Man is around here somewhere...."

Courteney Cox Talks 'Cougar Town,' Being Blunt & Returning to TV
by Maggie Furlong, posted Sep 23rd 2009 5:00PM
Let's be honest: the word "cougar" has kind of gotten a bad rap. Luckily, Courteney Cox is back on TV to change all that.In 'Cougar Town' (premieres Wed., Sept. 23, 9:30PM ET on ABC), Cox plays Jules, a recently divorced mom who finds a whole slew of younger men attracted to her when she decides to start dating again.
AOL TV got the exclusive scoop from Cox about the new show, what it's like being labeled a cougar, working with 'Scrubs' creator Bill Lawrence again and how her character's blunt nature is a lot like her own.
Cougar Town? Is that really the name?
by Bob Sassone, posted May 19th 2009 7:01PM
Because of TV Land's The Cougar, I'm instantly turned off from any show that has "cougar" in the title, unless it appears on The Discovery Channel or Animal Planet. ABC announced Courteney Cox-Arquette's new show Cougar Town earlier today and here's a clip. Not sure if it's a wise move to name a show after a fad slang word that will (hopefully) run out of steam by next year.
