Adrian Pasdar and Michael Imperioli have joined the cast of Doug Ellin's '40.'

The comedy about middle-aged men also stars Ed Burns and Michael Rapaport.

The single-camera comedy follows four lifelong friends as they navigate their 40s. Burns plays a married man and father who used to well-off, but hasn't worked in almost a year. According to Deadline, Rapaport's character is a married "neurotic everyman." 'Sopranos' veteran Imperioli plays a single man who isn't shy about self-promoting and Pasdar will play a Wall Street millionaire.

Susan Misner will play Burns' wife.

The student body of McKinley High School keeps on growing. 'American Dreams' actress Vanessa Lengies has booked a recurring role on 'Glee.'

According to TVLine, Lengies will play Sugar, a new student who can't carry a tune. Lengies joins 'Friday Night Lights' and 'Cougar Town' actor LaMarcus Tinker as new recurring players on the hit Fox show. Tinker will play the new love interest for Amber Riley's Mercedes character.

Lengies currently plays Kelly Epson on TNT's 'HawthoRNe.'

It appears the taste of blood Courtney Ford got when she guested on 'The Vampire Diaries' this season whet her appetite for more -- the actress just booked a recurring role on 'True Blood.'

According to Deadline, Ford will play Southern belle Portia Bellefleur, a lawyer who runs her own practice. She also happens to bethe sister of Bon Temps policeman Andy.

Season 4 of the HBO series is scheduled to begin shooting this month, and last week added actress Fiona Shaw to the cast as a medium who is possessed by a witch.

• Newcomer China McClain will star in the Disney Channel's new live-action comedy series. 'A.N.T. Farm' follows Chyna Sparks, a preteen music prodigy who gets accepted to a special high school music program. [TV Guide]

• Benita Robledo will star in the MTV pilot 'Patito Feo,' about a Mexican girl who moves to Florida with her mother. She'll have a run-in with the high school queen bee, setting off an in-school war. [Deadline]

Season 4 of 'Dexter' has been chock-full of complications thus far; from the Trinity murders to the Vacation murders, surviving has become a feat in itself.

Popping up over the course of this season has been the curious "Christine Hill," a go-getter reporter and Quinn's new lover, played by Courtney Ford. Having appeared in episodes of 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'Cold Case' and 'Ugly Betty,' landing this spot in Dexter has been a breakout role for her. And it couldn't have come at a better time, as she was almost ready to throw in the acting towel.
