Jenna Fischer poses nude for Wired
by Anna Johns, posted Mar 23rd 2007 8:29AM
Move that Caprica Six poster on your cubicle wall and make room for the new Queen of the Geeks. The Office actress Jenna Fischer appears naked on the cover of the April 2007 issue of Wired magazine. The magazine comes with a clear cover that makes her look like she's dressed in a suit, but you pull it back and see she's naked (naughty parts hidden tastefully behind a white sign she's holding). You can see it and other photos here. Why is she naked? In case you actually care, it goes with a feature article about "radical transparency", which is a new trend of companies going public with upcoming projects, etc. The title of the article is "Get Naked and Rule the World".
By the way, this isn't the first time Jenna has had a revealing photo shoot. She also showed off her ass in Jane magazine last July. I imagine her Office co-stars are going to give her hell for this. (Remember how they responded to her Esquire article?)
David Cross covers Bank of America song -- VIDEO
by Anna Johns, posted Nov 21st 2006 8:14AM
David Cross has gone and mocked that Bank of America singer who made the rounds on the internet recently. Cross did it in the best possible way: by singing it straight. He basically does the same cover of the U2 song, One, that a Bank of America employee repurposed to celebrate the merger of Bank of America and MBNA.The video is from last week during the "Hot Tub" show at Comix in NYC. Accompanying him on guitar was Johnny Marr, of The Smiths. Cross has a surprisingly good singing voice!

New York freaks out over David Cross
by Anna Johns, posted Oct 3rd 2006 12:09PM
If you live in New York, you may think that the New York Post is officially off its rocker. Today's cover resembles an extreme tabloid, ala The National Enquirer. It's covered with stories about freaks of nature that are on the Pentagon payroll... but it's all fake. Comedy Central bought fake covers to advertise David Cross' new animated series, Freak Show. The previews for the show make it look like it's a band of freaks who try to be superheroes. Comedy Central is also distributing more than one million copies of a Freak Show comic book written by Cross and co-creator H. Jon Benjamin (the comic is also on the website).Freak Show debuts tomorrow, October 4th on Comedy Central at 10:30 pm, right after the return of South Park.
Pregnant Mariska on the cover of TV Guide
by Anna Johns, posted Mar 29th 2006 7:17PM
Super
happy and super pregnant Mariska Hargitay graces the cover of the April 3rd TV Guide. She has been in the background
lately on Law & Order: SVU, hiding behind big coats, desks, and documents. Last night's ep was the last
time we'll see her until next fall, as she is already on maternity leave. Mariska will have the baby in California,
near family and friends. She said of her maternity leave, that she can't wait to "wear a big muumuu, meditate, do
prenatal yoga, get massages, and lie in bed and pop chocolates." Not sure of the due date, but it's sometime in
June, which means Mariska is in her third trimester of pregnancy!Mariska and her husband, Peter Hermann, met two years ago when he had a guest starring role on SVU. They are expecting a baby boy.
