You just never know how things are going to play out on 'The Amazing Race 16' (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS). Even if you're dead last, there's always the chance you can jump into first place. The cowboys, Jet and Cord, are the first team to ever go from last place, complete the speed bump, and then come in first on the next leg. Not only that; they won a trip to Maui! Way to go, guys!

Short-Lived Shows: Outlaws
by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 18th 2006 9:39AM
This show only last 11 episodes, in 1986-87, but they're episodes I remember fondly.
In 1886 Texas, Sheriff John Grail tracks down four outlaw cowboys. Before anything can happen, a weird force comes out of the sky and zaps them to 1986! When they get there, they form a detective agency and solve crimes (OK, not right away, but they find it's the only thing they can do), all the while trying to adjust to all the new inventions and culture of the modern world.
Kung Fu movie on its way
by Adam Finley, posted May 25th 2006 3:01PM
At some point Hollywood is going to run out of TV shows to remake into movies, but until that happens, you can look forward to a big screen adaptation of the popular 1970s series Kung Fu, which featured David Carradine as a monk living in the Wild West. Now, usually these adaptations aren't really worth seeing, but the Kung Fu movie has at least one good thing going for, which is that the screenplay was written by Ed Spielman (the creator of the original series) and another writer from the original series, Howard Friedlander. Apparently, the movie will explore the origins of the characters from the TV show.Deadwood a goner? - BREAKING NEWS
by Bob Sassone, posted May 12th 2006 2:59PM

In news that might be kind of a shock for fans, it looks like the upcoming third season of Deadwood might be the last.
HBO is letting the cast "explore their options," which bascially means that they are free to consider other options. In fact, creator/writer David Milch is exploring his own option, concentrating on a new surfer drama for HBO titled John From Cincinnati.
More on this as it develops ...

Brisco County coming to DVD
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 27th 2006 5:10PM
I think I'm going to cry.One of my favorite TV shows, The Adventures of Brisco Country, Jr., is finally coming to DVD! And this isn't some quickly put together first season, with little or no extras, this is a release of the entire series on one day! With tons of extras, including commentaries from Bruce Campbell and Carlton Cuse, documentaries, featurettes, a writers reunion, and special interactive features hosted by Campbell himself.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go put away $100.00.
