Critics' Choice Awards Honors New Shows, 'Deadwood' Star Heads to 'Dexter' and More TV News

'Smash,' 'Ringer,' 'Apartment 23,' and 'Terra Nova.' Are these among the best shows of the fall?According to Deadline, the critics behind the Critics' Choice Awards have nominated eight new fall shows for the Most Exciting New Series:
• 'Smash'
• 'Ringer'
• 'Terra Nova'
• 'Awake'
• 'Apartment 23'
• 'Alcatraz'
• 'Falling Skies'
• 'New Girl'
Cat Deeley will host the awards ceremony on June 20, VH1.com will live stream the show. ReelzChannel will air the ceremony at 8PM on June 22.

'Modern Family,' 'The Good Wife' Top Critic's Choice Awards Nominees

ABC's 'Modern Family' tops the nominees of the first inaugural Critic's Choice Awards. The awards show, which features nominees selected by TV critics, could be a good indication of how this year's Emmys race will shape up.Aside from 'Modern Family' and its six nominations, NBC's '30 Rock' is represented in the Best Comedy Series category, Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
Over in the drama department, AMC's 'The Killing' has picked up nominations for Best Drama Series, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. CBS's 'The Good Wife' picked up four nominations including Best Drama Series, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
Submissions are still being accepted for Most Exciting New Series category.
Cat Deeley will host the ceremony on June 20 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. VH1.com will live stream the show on June 20, and ReelzChannel will air the ceremony at 8PM on June 22.

At 8, ABC has a new Supernanny, followed by new episodes of Shark Tank and 20/20.- CBS has a new Ghost Whisperer at 8, then new episodes of Medium and Numb3rs.
- NBC has new episodes of Law and Order, Dateline, and The Jay Leno Show.
- PBS has a new Washington Week at 8, followed by new episodes of NOW and Bill Moyers Journal.
- At 8:30, Cartoon Network has a new Ben 10: Alien Force.
- At 9, FOX has a new Dollhouse.
- Syfy has a the two-hour season finale of Sanctuary at 9.
- VH-1 has The Critics Choice Awards at 9.
- Also at 9: Hallmark has The Wishing Well.
- At 10, Food Network has a new The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
- At 11, Comedy Central has John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show.
