CBS Announces 2011-2012 Schedule

by Jean Bentley, posted May 18th 2011 9:20AM
Person of InterestIt's CBS's turn to shake things up with its fall schedule, which the network just announced this morning.

'CSI' is finally getting the boot from its longtime Thursday night time slot in favor of the J.J. Abrams-produced 'Person of Interest,' while 'The Good Wife' is getting transferred from Tuesdays at 10PM to the highly competitive Sundays at 9PM slot.

The network's two new comedies will both get their shots after established shows, with '2 Broke Girls' airing after 'How I Met Your Mother' on Mondays and 'How to Be a Gentleman' landing post-'Big Bang Theory' on Thursdays. Interestingly, 'Rules of Engagement' is being pushed to Saturday nights.

CBS is saving the Robert De Niro-produced cop drama 'The 2-2' for mid-season (hopefully with a better name).

The full fall schedule is after the jump.

'Supernatural' Scares Up a Spin-Off Webseries (VIDEO)

by Laura Prudom, posted Apr 14th 2010 6:45PM
Avid 'Supernatural' fans are certain to remember the names Ed (A.J. Buckley) and Harry (Travis Wester), a very different demon-hunting dynamic duo than the hunky pair of Winchesters we've come to know and love, and founders of the ill-advised paranormal investigation team, the Ghostfacers.

From as far back as season 1, Ed and Harry have brought their own brand of bumbling, semi-suicidal "ghost facing" to our screens as part of the 'Supernatural' universe, but on April 15, coinciding with the series' landmark 100th episode, the Ghostfacers will launch their very own Webseries on CWTV.com.

Lucky 'Super' fans who attended Creation Entertainment's recent "Salute to Supernatural" convention in Los Angeles already got a sneak peek at the spooktastic (and undeniably hilarious) Webseries, but now, thanks to the magic of the Internet, you can see it too. Check out the preview after the jump.

Stella Left for Dead After Swimming Pool Scuffle on 'CSI:NY' (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 8th 2010 4:26AM
Stella Left for Dead on 'CSI:NY'Mac's (Gary Sinise) right-hand woman, Det. Stella Bonasera, has been known to go all fearless Rambo in past seasons of 'CSI:NY' (Wed., 10PM ET on CBS). Last night she took things to another level. While scoping out a bad guy's lair, the baddie attacked, throwing her into a swimming pool. A major underwater scuffle ensued, with Stella (played by Melina Kanakaredes, who does all her own stunts) just out of reach for the gun that would have put an end to it. When choking her didn't work, he proceeded to bash her head against the pool ledge.

Det. Don Flack (Eddie Cahill) stormed in and was able to shoot the bad guy in the leg. But Don had bigger problems -- spying her floating body, blood dripping from her mouth. Was he too late?

Fans Can Investigate 'CSI' at MGM Grand Las Vegas

by John Scott Lewinski, posted Feb 28th 2010 3:14PM
You get to inspect the crime scene at MGM Grand Las Vegas' CSI: The Experience.Fans of the original 'CSI' can try their hand at solving a murder right in the middle of the massive MGM Grand Las Vegas.

'CSI: The Experience' offers visitors families (and other visitors looking to escape the constant "dinging" and "blooping" of slot machines) a chance to follow a simulated murder case from the initial crime scene to a selection of the most likely suspect.

While the attraction's designers struggled in vain to make it a compelling and vibrant way to kill an hour or so, the exhibit is essentially a course in basic forensic science and observation.

On a recent trip to Vegas and the MGM on business, I decided to scoop up my magnifying glass (which I always take with me on vacation) and give it a try.

Harold Perrineau Stopping by 'CSI: NY' as Well as 'Lost' This Season

by Jason Hughes, posted Feb 22nd 2010 11:00AM
Harold PerrineauMichael is scheduled to return to one of the realities of 'Lost' this season, but that's not the only place we can expect to see Harold Perrineau this spring. According to Entertainment Weekly, Perrineau is schedule to guest star on an April episode of 'CSI: NY.' He'll be playing the role of a death row inmate who must fight for his life during a prison riot.

The part that gets interesting for fans of the crime procedural is that Sheldon Hawkes will be in the prison along with Perrineau's character. What he's doing there hasn't been revealed, but there's apparently a connection between his past and Perrineau. I thought it might have more to do with his recent financial troubles, but perhaps there are secrets in Hawkes' past that will make his recent troubles seem like child's play.
