There's nothing more stressful as a dance instructor than dealing with parents. Actually, expand that to any thing where you have any sort of power or teaching role over kids. As soon as the parents get involved, you get "stage moms." Abby loves teaching dance, but has zero patience for her 'Dance Moms' (Wed., 10PM ET on Lifetime). The problem is, that you take your kids to these people because they are the best at what they do, and they can push your kids as they need to be pushed to succeed. But then you find you might not like how they're doing it, and suddenly you think you know a better way.
Patti confronted Abby about how Abby has been treating her daughter Chloë. She feels Abby is too hard on her. "All she does is fail. All you do is set her up to fail," Patti said.

Abby Lee Miller is a sought after dance instructor in Pittsburgh, and has one of the most prestigious dance studios in the region. On 'Dance Moms' (Wed., 10PM ET on Lifetime) we get to see her passion clash with the passionate parents.Nowhere was that clash more volatile than with Dawn, who eventually had to get thrown out of the studio one day when she was following Abby around yelling at her. Abby eventually called the police on her.
Then, she still expected Dawn to pay her bill. So Dawn came back, with a very smug smile on her face, insisting she wasn't going to pay it because by throwing her daughter out, Abby breached the contract. Abby insists the contract wasn't breached even after that and is ready to take it to court.
