Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 8 comic -- An early look
by Keith McDuffee, posted Feb 19th 2007 10:19AM
Since Angel left the air almost three years ago, fans of the Buffyverse shows have wondered how (not if) either series would continue. We've been teased with the possibility of moves since even before Buffy ended its run, and still no one seems to have given us a straight answer. Finally we Whedon fans have had something to look forward to in the form of a comic book. Sure there have been plenty of books done in the Buffyverse before, but this time it's different. 'Long Way from Home' is meant to serve as the start of Joss' s vision of what a season eight of Buffy would have been, had the show continued. So for purists this is most probably considered canon.
I was lucky enough to get an early draft of the first issue from the series, so read on for a few not-so spoilery tidbits.
Buffy comic update: pre-orders and spoilers
by Julia Ward, posted Jan 11th 2007 10:02AM
The date draws nearer for the debut of Buffy Season 8 in comic book form. The first and second issues are now available for pre-order at Dark Horse comics. They'll be released on March 7th and April 4th respectively. Well, that's what the Dark Horse website is reporting. In the comic book world, you never know what the actual release date is until the book is sitting in your hot little hands. (Somebody is going to have to explain that to me sometime - how an entire industry can build an expectation for procrastination within its audience. That would have worked wonders for me in college.)We've shared issue one spoilers with you in the past, but we've got some issue two insight as well. You'll find the skinny after the jump. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD.
