In the premiere episode of 'The Hasselhoffs,' the appropriately titled reality show he filmed with his two daughters that debuts on A&E this Sunday, the Hoff wasted no time in addressing his very personal troubles -- to a room full of college students, no less.
In TV Squad's exclusive clip, watch the Hoff speak to students in daughter Taylor's psychology class at the University of Arizona. He gets very candid about his alcoholism and his sadness at the private tape leaking to the tabloids.
Not enough Hoff for you? We'll have an interview with all the Hasselhoffs -- David, Taylor and Hayley -- in a few days.
'The Hasselhoffs' premiere airs Sun., Dec. 5 at 10PM.
On 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS), Sorrentino and his partner Karina Smirnoff showed up to discuss 'DWTS.' And Karina admitted that even she had her doubts about being paired up with the 'Jersey Shore' ab-master. "I'll be honest; when I heard Mike was my partner, I kind of freaked out," she said.
In a shocking announcement, David Hasselhoff was the first celebrity ejected from season 11 of 'Dancing With the Stars.'
The actor/singer/reality TV star skipped most of the post-show press line so he could be on time for his appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' but his pro partner Kym Johnson stuck around to give a postmortem on their brief time as a dancing duo.
"I'm disappointed," Johnson told TV Squad after the results show taping ended. "There are so many more fun things I wanted to do with the Hoff. I was really having a great time with him."
The first night jitters are officially out of the way. Twelve stars and their celebrity pro partners took to the dance floor and performed either a Cha-Cha or a Viennese Waltz on the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 11 opening night show. Actress Jennifer Grey, singer Brandy Norwood and athletes Rick Fox and Kurt Warner performed well -- as expected -- but the surprise of the night was teen actor Kyle Massey, who brought to mind a young Warren Sapp (Kym Johnson's season 7 partner) when he performed a dynamite dance with Lacey Schwimmer.
TV Squad was on the post-show press line to get reactions from all 24 participants. For one unlucky couple, alas, it's their second-to-last interview, because tonight one duo is going home.
"[Kym's] really hot," Hoff said. (This is true: She is.) However, there's some bad news. " ... [Kym] told me that she doesn't date any of her dancer partners till either we're eliminated or we win," he continued. "So I said, 'We're going out in the first round.'"
The newest cast of 'Dancing With The Stars' got their feet wet last night after the line-up was unveiled by hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke.
Ten out of the show's dozen stars did their first round of publicity to tout their participation in the top-rated dance-competition series. (Singer Michael Bolton and reality TV star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino were unable to attend.) AOL's TV Squad was on the scene to get the celebs' reactions.
"My agent called me and asked me if I'd be interested in doing the show," said reailty TV star Audrina Partridge of 'The Hills.' "And I said, 'Yes!' I'm really excited to meet Jennifer Grey. I'm a big 'Dirty Dancing' fan."
'Dancings With the Stars' Season 11 Cast Rumors: David Hasselhoff, Michael Bolton and Kirstie Alley in?
David Hasselhoff, singer Michael Bolton and Ryan O'Neal are the latest stars rumored to be getting their dance on this season. On the sitcom front, we have Kirstie Alley, Florence Henderson and Jennifer Grey.
'Baywatch' star Hasselhoff may be following in his co-star Pamela Anderson's footsteps and go after the mirrorball trophy this season. According to Access Hollywood, the Hoff is ready for his bedazzled closeup.
RadarOnline reports that Bolton may use 'DWTS' as a platform for a major comeback. It's certainly helped other stars regain a place in the spotlight. 'Dancing With the Stars' co-host Brooke Burke even mentioned Bolton as a possible dancer on 'Lopez Tonight.'
She misses working with him on 'America's Got Talent,' she said on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC). "My thing is, hey, whatever you do in your own time, God bless. He can snort, sniff, shoot, do whatever he wants, as long as he comes to work straight -- which he did."
A sampling of the Hasselhoff resume: star of 'Baywatch' (not to mention 'Baywatch Nights') and 'Knight Rider,' a music career that has made him the toast of Germany, two stints on the soap 'The Young and the Restless' as Doctor William "Snapper" Foster, Jr. (was Bill, Sr. also a "Snapper?"), and a highly publicized drunken burger slurping meltdown.
"What a punchline that guy is," said the "Queen of Mean" comedienne. "His liver is so black and bloated, it's banging two of the Kardashian sisters."
Among the barrage of celebrities, Pamela Anderson was there. Chelsea Handler asked how the actress looked. "Gorgeous! She looked really great. Her boobs are even better than mine -- and we're both international sex symbols."
'America's Got Talent' revealed the next four semi-finalists, but before the live show began last night, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne had a reunion with ex-judge David Hasselhoff ...sort of. The studio audience was treated to Morgan and Osbourne taping a segment that will appear on Comedy Central's upcoming roast of the 'Baywatch' hunk.
Morgan and Osbourne don't often agree, but they put their differences aside in order to team up and razz the Hoff. If their remarks were any indication of how cutting Hasselhoff's roast will be, the guy might want to wear some body armor to the show's taping on Sunday.
After taping the roast segment twice, it was on with the show!
