Flavor Flav and Wendy Williams Compete to Get a Word in Edgewise (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted May 25th 2011 9:30PM
Flavor Flav on 'The Wendy Williams Show'Wendy Williams had Flavor Flav as a guest on Wednesday's 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated) and the talkative celebrity took over the show.

"You suck up all the oxygen out the room and nobody can get a word in edgewise," she said to him. But she was determined to get a word in, telling Flav, "You are going to let me talk." It was an odd sort of interview, with laughter, tears, hugs, and special gifts.

Flav taunted Williams, saying, "I've seen your beach photos." When Williams took mock offense, Flav dived at her and embraced her. Later Williams said that she thought he was one of the youngest looking fifty-somethings she knew (along with Ralph Macchio), then gave him a giant clock necklace with her photo on it.

That way Flav can better time his interruptions.

Brooke Burke talks about 'Dancing With the Stars' on 'Access Hollywood Live'In 2008, Brooke Burke beat out former NFL star Warren Sapp to win the Mirrorball Trophy on 'Dancing With the Stars.' With the most recent season of 'Stars' ending Tuesday night, Burke went on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) to talk about what she said was "one of the most exciting moments" of her life.

"Nobody realizes what goes into it and the energy and the excitement," she said. "There's nothing casual about it." The show required a lot of work -- eight to 10 hours a day, according to Burke, depending on how quickly one picks up the steps.

Burke said the work helped her to slim down just four months after having had her fourth child. Outside of 'The Biggest Loser' contestants and perhaps someone trapped in a bear cage with a running track, few people get to do the eight hours a day of cardio Burke said she got out of the show.

Bachelorette Ashley Hebert Talks About Her New Guys on 'Access Hollywood Live' (VIDEO)

by AOL TV Staff, posted May 24th 2011 11:00PM
'The Bachelorette' began Monday night on ABC for another season of love, with perky Ashley Hebert coming face to face with the 25 suitors vying for her hand. There were a couple of real doozies in the group, and Hebert appeared on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) to talk about them.

There was Jeff, the masked man of mystery, who Hebert thought at first was hiding something. After she got to talk to him, she discovered that you can't judge a book by its cover. "I saw something really kind behind the mask," Hebert said. "So I want to give him a chance."

What about bad boy Bentley, who is "really cute." For Hebert, that's "the hardest part," since Bentley revealed in pre-taped video sequences that he was on the show to promote his business, that he wasn't that attracted to Hebert, and that he was there for the competition. Is he going to get the axe? "You'll have to wait and see," Hebert said.

Ahh, as English poet John Lyly said, "All is fair in love and ratings."

Al Roker Is the Orange Wiggle (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted May 20th 2011 8:30PM
Al Roker joins The Wiggles on 'Today'There was a void, a yawing chasm begging to be filled. And then there was Al Roker, just the man to fill the yaw.

For too long there had been no fifth Wiggle; no Orange Wiggle. Roker fixed that on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC), stepping in to be a Wiggle for two days, starring in a video and joining the kids band for a live performance.

"I'm going to be the Orange Wiggle, what do you think?" Roker told a small group of kids in a conspiratorial voice. One little girl said he'd have to have a lot of courage. Roker needed more energy than courage, working the band's 10-hour video shoot, and keeping up with them onstage. "These guys are still smiling," Roker said, amazed they could keep it up after 20 years in the business.

The live performance found Roker dressed as a bunch of grapes singing a song about 'Fruit Salads,' then another about 'Potatoes.' He called the stint with the Wiggles one of the highlights of his career. And then, as quickly as he came, the Orange Wiggle was gone.

Today, it was Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Aniston who appeared in pre-taped clips saying an emotional goodbye to Winfrey and the show.

"It really makes me very sad," Aniston said, "cause it's something that I think we've all grown up with." Aniston praised Winfrey for her inspirational words, honesty and joy, and said she'll miss her deeply. Wolverine (a.k.a. Jackman) was also surprisingly tender. "At some point, when you get to look back, I know you're going to be incredibly proud of how you've given fully of yourself to everybody and done it with love," he said. "And that is rare."

Jackman did point out that the talk show may be going away, but Winfrey is still going to be around. That's something to remember as this starts to look more and more like a memorial. More than likely, she will resurface on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Shortly after that, Gilbert announced that she had a photo to show the audience, which turned out to be Peete with a bit of thong and butt showing over the top of her jeans. Peete ran to her mom for a hug, and then to Gilbert to give her a spanking. Extra points for the leopard-skin print make-up chair.
