'Nikita' Season 2, Episode 2 Recap: 'Falling Ash'
by Laura Prudom, posted Oct 1st 2011 11:00AM
['Nikita' - 'Falling Ash']After such an action-packed season premiere, 'Nikita' had big shoes to fill to maintain the momentum of the previous episode, which may be why 'Falling Ash' felt a little unspectacular (if competently executed) in comparison.
Still, the episode laid important groundwork for the weeks to come, especially with the surprising revelation of the last five minutes. Alex was also given a new goal to work towards in the hunt for her father's business partner, and poor, long-suffering Birkhoff finally admitted that he actually kind of liked having his freeloading rogue ex-colleagues crashing at his bachelor pad.
'Nikita' Guest Star Devon Sawa Talks Owen's Return and a Potential Romance with Alex
by Laura Prudom, posted Sep 28th 2011 11:00AM
The last time we saw Devon Sawa's rogue agent Owen on 'Nikita,' he was preparing to go AWOL to try and wean himself off a dangerous, performance-enhancing drug masterminded by Division. When the troubled assassin returns in this week's episode (Fri., Sept. 30, 8PM ET on The CW), he'll be seeking Nikita's (Maggie Q.) help in tracking down the doctor who created the regimen, and will inevitably find himself drawn into her latest mission to take down the corrupt government agency. And did we mention he'll be wearing a tuxedo?
We caught up with Sawa to preview Owen's return, hear his favorite part of shooting the show and learn what he thinks of the enthusiastic fan support for a romance between his character and Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) -- even though the two haven't actually met yet. Join us after the jump for more.
Mild spoilers ahead.
'Nikita' Season 1, Episode 18 Recap
by Laura Prudom, posted Apr 15th 2011 3:50AM
['Nikita' - 'Into the Dark']After last week's climactic Michael/Nikita reunion, 'Nikita' viewers could've been forgiven for thinking that episode 18 might have had difficulty maintaining that breakneck momentum, but 'Into the Dark' proved a worthy successor to 'Covenants,' bringing back fan-favorite Guardian Owen (Devon Sawa) for another globetrotting black box mission.
But being an international man of mystery has its downsides, and in addition to struggling with the guilt he feels for the many people he's killed, Owen was also struggling with a debilitating addiction to an ominous Division regimen -- a set of performance-enhancing drugs that apparently come with some killer side-effects that even Nikita can't charm away.
