Dina Manzo Addresses 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Feuds

by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 24th 2011 12:05PM
Dina Manzo Real Housewives of New Jersey FeudsFormer 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Dina Manzo has spoken out about the Bravo reality show and its resulting drama for the "last time." Manzo broke her silence in a new blog post, addressing why she left the show and the state of her relationships with the other reality stars, including her sister, Caroline.

"Yes, It's true I decided to distance myself from ALL the housewives once I left season 2," she wrote on DinaManzo.com. "I really wanted to walk away from all of the toxic behavior, I was not into ganging up on anyone and I was no longer obligated to talk about Danielle so the best thing for me to do was stay away. They still needed to do this and I get that, but I had no desire. I guess some of the 'housewives' may have taken that as I think I'm better than them ... that couldn't be further from the truth." Dina Manzo, 'Mad Fashion'Former castmember of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' Dina Manzo, went to Chris March for a gown inspired by the Hollywood glamour of the 1950s on 'Mad Fashion' (Tue., 10PM ET on Bravo). She needed it for the Night of a Thousand Gowns drag queen event.

March came through with the gown, but it was problematic in a few ways. First, it was scratching her skin, but more importantly, it wasn't fitted properly in the chest. She was busting out of it almost literally.

Dina Manzo on Returning to TV, Grandma Wrinkles and 'Dina's Party'

by Chris Harnick, posted Sep 10th 2011 10:00AM
Dina ManzoChances are you know Dina Manzo from her time on Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New Jersey.' It's hard to forget her feud with Danielle Staub, the resulting drama -- table flips, gag orders and so much more -- and Manzo's famous exit from the reality series, which was attributed to Staub's antics.

However, it's been more than a year since Manzo said goodbye to 'Housewives' and reality TV as a whole, but when HGTV came a-callin', Manzo said she couldn't refuse their call.

"When I left 'Housewives' I had no intentions of coming back on TV at all," Manzo told AOL TV. "This opportunity came to me and I spoke with my husband and I said, 'You know, not for nothing, I love HGTV. This is what I love to do and you know how happy event planning makes me.'"

With her husband's blessing and the assurance her family and foundation wouldn't be affected by the series, Manzo said it was an easy decision. "I said 'Why not?' I love what I do, I love my team."

Is Dina Manzo Leaving the 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'?

by Kim Potts, posted Jun 11th 2010 9:40AM
The teaser's been running all week on Bravo, in a preview clip of June 14's 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' episode: one of the Joisey girls is leaving the hit reality series.

Which one? Loony Danielle and her wannabe wiseguys? Mama Caroline, who seems increasingly uninterested in continuing the Manzo family's war with Danielle? Or Teresa, the mom of four who's been plagued by major financial woes, including bankruptcy and putting her gaudy N.J. manse on the market?

Teresa's Gabfest During Labor on 'Housewives of New Jersey' (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted May 25th 2010 5:10AM
Teresa Talks Through Labor on NJ 'Housewives'Women are known to be great multi-taskers, but who knew that applied during childbirth as well. On 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' (Mon., 10PM ET on BRVO), Teresa Giudice spent the better part of her labor chatting with her girlfriends and daughter Gia, juggling conversations between her cell phone and the room landline.

"She's like talking to me ... shooting the breeze. She's like, 'Hold on -- contraction!'" said Dina Manzo.

Teresa and Joe's fourth daughter, Audriana, was born "in a push and a half." Wow, seems like her labor couldn't have been easier.

Caroline Manzo on the Wild Lives of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey'

by Joel Keller, posted May 3rd 2010 11:02AM
Caroline Manzo of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey'The second season of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' is upon us. Starting tonight at 10PM ET on Bravo, the five ladies from Franklin Lakes -- sisters Caroline and Dina Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, table-tosser Teresa Guidice and pot-stirrer Danielle Staub -- return to give audiences more of the family togetherness and interpersonal conflict that made the first season such a big hit.

And if anyone thinks the Manzos have let bygones be bygones with the mysterious Staub, don't worry. There's plenty of new conflict set for the second season, including an incident where Staub accused Laurita's daughter Ashley of pulling out one of her hair extensions. Last week, I spoke to Caroline, the family matriarch who made the phrase "thick as thieves" more popular than ever, about the incident -- which actually went to court -- what her highest and lowest moments of the last year were, and why she thinks reality producers are suddenly in love with the Garden State.

Yes, all of the lovely ladies -- Teresa, Dina, Caroline, Jacqueline and Danielle -- are back on 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' and we couldn't be happier.

Forget the squabbling in 'New York', the botox in 'Orange County' and the weaves in 'Atlanta,' the 'New Jersey' Italian girls know how to make some good television.

If the new trailer is an indication, this season will be filled to the brim with drama. From a trip to Italy and ongoing court battles, this season is sure to pack quite a punch, both literally and figuratively!

Check out the video and an update on the cast after the jump.

Jersey 'Housewives' Are Coming Back May 3

by Allison Waldman, posted Mar 26th 2010 10:47AM
real_housewives_of_new_jersey_standingIn anticipation of the new season of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' the restaurateurs in the Franklin Lakes vicinity have decided to anchor all dining tables to the floor like McDonald's and Burger King. That way, Teresa can't be doing any table-flipping unless she's wearing a cape with a giant 'S' in red and has an aversion to Kryptonite.

No seriously -- and table-flipping is hardly that -- those Jersey women are coming back. Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' returns Monday, May 3 at 10 PM ET. And unlike some editions of the 'Real Housewives,' all the principals are part of the action.
