'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' Creator Makes Fiery Anti-Guy Fieri Comments

by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 17th 2011 1:50PM
Guy Fieri Diners Drive-ins and DivesNot everything on the 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' set was happy and greasy. David Page, the ousted creator of the hit Food Network series, is speaking out and slamming host Guy Fieri's behavior.

In a new report, Page is claiming Fieri displayed some very bad behavior from sexism to homophobia. "Anytime any woman mentioned 'cream,' Guy went into a sexual riff," Page told City Pages. "When cutting the show, you had to tell the editors to watch Guy's eye line, because it's always on breasts."

It didn't stop there.

Fieri reportedly needed "advance warning" when working with homosexuals. Page said he once got a phone call from the host after he walked out of a restaurant.

'Children's Hospital' Renewed, 'Buffy' Stars to Reunite on 'Supernatural' & More TV News

by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 17th 2011 6:15PM
Children's HospitalRob Corddry's sick and hilariously twisted 'Childrens Hospital' has been renewed for a fourth season on Adult Swim. The Web series-turned-TV hit will shoot 14 new episodes later this year that will air on Adult Swim in 2012.

"I'm very pleased and honored by this announcement," Corddry said in a statement. "I'm also very surprised, given that I write this show when I'm very, very drunk. Season four promises to be a cry for help."

'Children's Hospital' debuted as a Web series in 2008, and unlike other online-to-network jumps, has proven extremely successful. It has been the No. 1 show in its time period among adults 18-34, 18-49 and 18-24 for the past 10 weeks.

Get ready for more Guy Fieri

by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 17th 2009 3:25PM
Guy FieriGuy Fieri is one of those Food Network hosts that a lot of people dislike. I think it's the wild hair or the shorts he wears or the constant use of words like "awesome" and "dude," but he seems to be one of these people that Food Network fans either love or hate.

I don't dislike Fieri. I don't really get the hair and the clothes, but he seems cool and I really love two of the (many) shows he hosts, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Ultimate Recipe Showdown (when is that coming back, by the way?).

Now he's about to host another show, and it's not a food show and it's not even on Food Network. Fieri will host Perfect 10, a new game show on NBC.

Now Anthony Bourdain is going after Guy Fieri

by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 12th 2009 2:35PM
Guy FieriIt has gotten to the point where I really don't care what the hell Anthony Bourdain cares about anything. I liked Kitchen Confidential (the book, not the TV show) and some of his other writing, but this need to speak out on anything and everything in the food world he finds lame or disgusting or "evil" has gotten old. Now he (and chef David Chang) is speaking out on other things he can't stand, and one of them is Food Network host Guy Fieri.

Personally, I wouldn't bleach my hair and wear those shorts, but come on, is it really worth bad mouthing his hosting and cooking? I love Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Ultimate Recipe Showdown!

Update: it's actually Chang who made the remarks, but Bourdain doesn't like Fieri either.
