Giveaway Alert! 'Dinocroc vs. Supergator,' 'Sharktopus' & 'Dinoshark' on Blu-Ray
by Jean Bentley, posted Jul 7th 2011 12:00PM
What's more awesome than a giant dinosaur or a super-sized alligator terrorizing innocent bystanders? Genetically engineered monsters comprised of the spliced DNA of both animals terrorizing each other, obviously.Thankfully, Roger Corman and Anchor Bay Entertainment have us covered. Last summer's hit Syfy movie, 'Dinocroc vs. Supergator,' is coming out on DVD and Blu-ray July 12, and in honor of the cinematic masterpiece (not sarcasm, by the way), AOL TV and Anchor Bay Entertainment have three copies of the Blu-ray of the film, plus three copies each of Corman's 'Sharktopus' and 'Dinoshark,' to give away to three lucky readers.

'Dinoshark' Trailer: Still Hilarious
by Jean Bentley, posted Mar 24th 2011 2:45PM
This morning, Vulture and Movieline dug up a trailer for last year's Syfy original movie 'Dinoshark.' Yeah, we know it aired more than a year ago, but the joy one feels while watching the trailer transcends the news cycle. There's precious little dialogue in this thing, but there is a shot of Eric Balfour jumping from a moving Jet Ski to throw a grenade in the dinoshark's face.
For the discerning cinephiles like myself who saw 'Piranha 3D' (in theaters), you'll notice that the plot sounds a tad familiar to last summer's hit (among my friends): Prehistoric beast gets unleashed upon partying beach-goers, massacres them in horrifyingly hilarious ways. But really, does that ever get old?
Watch it after the jump.

Syfy Teams with Roger Corman for 'Dinoshark'
by Bryan Enk, posted Feb 17th 2010 10:00AM
Beware the murky waters, for therein lurks ... the 'Dinoshark.'The warning comes from the Hollywood Reporter, which brings news of the latest team-up between Syfy and uber-producer Roger Corman. The title beast is the result of global warming (natch), as glaciers break apart and release the unborn egg of the Dinoshark. The film, a companion piece of sorts to Corman's previous Syfy creature feature, 'Dinocroc,' premieres on Mar. 13th.
