Dog of 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' fame bailed out Nic Cage from a New Orleans jail. "I performed my duties as a bail bondsman and not in connection with our show. This is what I do for a living," Dog said in a statement. "There are two sides of my job: I release my clients after they have been arrested; and pick them up if they don't show up in court. I do not believe the latter will be the case for Mr. Cage." [E! Online]

Mariah Carey may have "something" to do on 'The X Factor,' but she won't be a judge. Simon Cowell revealed details during an interview: "I think Mariah will have a role on the TV live shows," he told Jackie Brown. "I met her recently and she was on great form. And her idea was to be the judge of the judges, which only Mariah could come up with. She'll be involved in some form. I literally adore her. I love her to bits." [CBS News]

Dog the Bounty Hunter: I Will Hunt Down Fugitive Randy Quaid (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 22nd 2010 4:19AM
Dog the Bounty Hunter: I Will Hunt Down Fugitive Randy QuaidRandy Quaid has been in the news lately, as he and his wife Evi have been accused of a series of crimes. In 2009, the couple allegedly failed to pay a $10,000 bill at a hotel. They then skipped their court date. This past September, the Quaids allegedly committed an even weirder crime.

The pair broke into a guest house, claiming that they still owned the place -- even though they sold the property in 2007. The Quaids went to prison, were released after posting $50,000 in bail -- then fled, skipping their court date again. Now, an arrest warrant has been issued for them.

So we've got a bizarre story, a fugitive from justice ... there's only one man who can make this right. ... Duane "Dog" Chapman appeared on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS) and expressed his desire to "go after" the actor.

I'd Never Heard Of 'Billy The Exterminator,' and Then I Watched It

by Don Reisinger, posted Jul 12th 2010 5:00PM
Billy the ExterminatorI rarely watch A&E. For the most part, the channel doesn't offer the kind of programming I like. I used to be a fan of 'Dog the Bounty Hunter,' one of A&E's most prominent shows, but after watching the same basic storyline every week, it became old and I moved on.

Recently, I decided to give A&E another try. I did so with a show about a Louisiana-based exterminator that wears the most outrageous clothes, says the most outrageous things, and performs some of the most outrageous tasks I've ever seen on television.

His name is Billy Bretherton. And his show, 'Billy the Exterminator,' has become my newest obsession on Wednesday nights.

'Dog the Bounty Hunter' Does Some Trash Talking (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 10th 2010 3:00AM
'Dog the Bounty Hunter' Does Some Trash TalkingThe latest episode of 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' (Wed., 9PM ET on A&E) takes us all across the great state of Hawaii. Dog and his team are searching for a fugitive from justice, and they will not rest until he's caught. But really, that's not the important part. What's important is that Dog's wife Beth massively insults the dude's girlfriend.

The team corners the girlfriend -- whose name is Carla. She's squatting on government land in Hawaii. But threats and Dog's enormous presence isn't enough to scare Carla. So Beth takes matters into her own hands, and begins shouting at the girl.

Carla calls Beth a "bigmouth," which isn't necessarily a good idea. Beth replies that she is in fact a bigmouth -- and that she will say whatever she wants, when she wants. "I'll say it to your face, to your back, on a plane, on a train, in a boat, in a car," she yells. Wow. Gosh. We're not sure if Beth is good at insults, bad at insults, or is just sort of weirdly channeling a rhyming dictionary and some Dr. Seuss. But still, interesting stuff.

Well. This week has a little bit of everything, no matter what the TV fan is looking for. We have current shows (NCIS, House, Scrubs), recent shows that have been canceled (Life, Samantha Who?), classic shows you probably thought you'd never seen on DVD (Wiseguy, Wanted: Dead or Alive), kid shows (Suite Life on Deck, Sonny with a Chance), cartoons (Batman, Dungeons & Dragons), and quirky reality and/or documentary shows (Dog The Bounty Hunter, MonsterQuest, The Universe).

There's also two DVD sets called TV Sets, which are a mix of various episodes of sci-fi shows (Star Trek, The 4400, Medium) and crime shows (Streets of San Francisco, Dexter, CSI: NY).
