[Hollywood Reporter]Who will get whacked first on The Sopranos?
by Anna Johns, posted Mar 12th 2006 9:27AM
It's been 21 months (!) since
The Sopranos had any new episodes on HBO. They're finally returning tonight for the first part of their final
season. So... who will be the first to get killed? Believe it or not, there are actually betting
odds on that very topic. The numbers crunchers over at PinnacleSports.com
think, of the 18 regular characters, it'll be either Uncle Junior or Christopher. Each have received 13% of all the
money wagered. The odds of Uncle Junior biting it are 11/2, while the odds of Tony Soprano's nephew, Christopher,
getting killed are 6/1. Tony's sister, Janice, has odds of 11/1. And, it could happen tonight. Newsweek says we'll see
"a murder, a suicide, a maiming, a fatal heart attack and a shooting - all in the same episode."So... care to wager a bet about will be the first to get whacked this season?
HBO using Google Maps to promote Sopranos
by Anna Johns, posted Feb 19th 2006 10:35AM
HBO
understands the viral power of the internet and is apparently hoping to get in on it with a couple of online promotions
for the upcoming season of The Sopranos, which starts March 12. First, it's paying Google to use its maps to
identify certain parts of New Jersey where key parts of The Sopranos have happened (does that mean we'll know
where Ralphie's head is buried?). Starting February 27th, all you'll have to do is go to Google and type in
"Sopranos Map".HBO.com is also planning an interactive game called Whack a Soprano.
