Dominic Monaghan Details What He's Doing in a Parallel Universe Right Now (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Feb 8th 2011 5:54AM
If Dominic Monaghan was trying to have his own Joaquin-Phoenix-on-Letterman moment, we'll give him an 'A' for effort, but he wasn't nearly incoherent and crazy enough. Nevertheless, he did present an interesting perspective of reality on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM on CBS).He joined Craig Ferguson for the email segment of the show, and it was a missive from a viewer that lead the pair to a discussion on parallel realities. Something, ironically, Monaghan knows a little about from his work on the finale of 'Lost.'
"I think everything is happening on different places at the same time always," he asked Ferguson, who didn't agree with his perspective at all.
Dominic Monaghan Doesn't Like Cars, Breaks the Speed Record on 'Top Gear' Anyway (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Nov 29th 2010 8:15AM
As an actor, Dominic Monaghan specializes in playing characters who take part in an impossible quest ... of one kind or another. In 'The Lord of the Rings,' he starred as a hobbit engaged in a thousand-year struggle to destroy the One Ring of Power. On 'Lost,' he was a musician who tried to unravel the secrets of a tropical island (and who died in the process). But on the racing show 'Top Gear' (Sun., 10PM ET on HIST), his job was much, much easier.
Dominic doesn't like cars very much -- he calls them his "least favorite form of transport." Nonetheless, on the new 'Top Gear,' he shattered the old celebrity racing record. In the process, he beat out a real-life hero: Astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

by Oliver Miller, posted May 27th 2010 10:55PM
This the last episode of 'FlashForward' (Thu., 8PM ET on ABC). It wasn't meant to be; originally, the show airing tonight was intended to be the season finale. But the TV gods did not smile down on the series -- and so, the show has been canceled before its time.[Spoiler alert.]

It's hard to talk about the science fiction drama 'FlashForward' (Thu., 8PM ET on ABC) without acknowledging the fact that they show has already been canceled. ABC intended the series to be a possible replacement for 'Lost,' but it never really caught on. Now, the show is coming to the end -- but will there be enough time to wrap everything up?[Spoiler alert.]

On the science fiction series 'FlashForward' (Thu., 8PM ET on ABC), nearly everyone on Earth suffered a mysterious blackout which lasted for two minutes and seventeen seconds. During this blackout, people could see six months into their own future. But one man didn't blackout during the event ... and that man is "Suspect Zero."[Spoiler alert.]

Dominic Monaghan Shows Off His Painted Nails on 'Bonnie Hunt' (VIDEO)
by Harley W. Lond, posted Apr 29th 2010 7:01PM
Dominic Monaghan showed off his painted nails on Thursday's edition of 'The Bonnie Hunt Show' (weekdays, syndicated) and explained why and how he paints them. Hunt asked the 'Lost' and 'FlashForward' star about his nail polish and he proudly displayed his left hand to the camera. "I like to paint my nails," he said, getting a little irritated when someone in the audience laughed.

Dominic Monaghan Talks The End Of 'Lost' And The Physics Of 'FlashForward'
by Gabrielle Dunn, posted Apr 29th 2010 3:00PM
Dominic Monaghan has played his share of "troubled" roles. On 'Lost,' he broke viewers' hearts as heroin-addicted musician Charlie Pace, sacrificing himself in the show's third season finale. Now, he's on yet another ABC sci-fi series 'FlashForward' as misunderstood physicist Simon Campos, who may be partially responsible for a global disaster.
Monaghan talked to TV Squad yesterday about 'Lost's' series finale, the physics of 'FlashForward' and his other artistic pursuits. The actor also recently starred in a short film that was written, produced and crewed entirely by teenagers for the "Fresh Films" project, which you can watch and vote for on their web site until May 3.
Though it sounds like he's staying pretty busy, the 33-year-old Brit goes into surgery today for a broken foot, which will lay him up for at least a couple of weeks. But don't worry; he's got big plans for his down time: lots and lots of football.
'FlashForward' - 'Queen Sacrifice' Recap
by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 9th 2010 2:32AM
(S01E15) After reading that title, I got out my chess board to watch this episode. While amateur players tend to strive to protect their queens, experts know that sometimes the best strategic move is a queen sacrifice. Is that idea what 'FlashForward' was going to be exploring this week, or is it just Aaron selling all his old Queen LPs to finance his crusade against Jericho? It's a bit of a blow for me to find out that the characters won't be reaching their April 29 flashforward moments on the April 29 episode. I was looking forward to the synchronicity, and it at least gave me hope that I would know what day it was in the show for a moment. That hiatus has shifted things back, and now we don't know when the characters will meet their dates with destiny.
What we do know is that while Mark seems to be taking big steps toward helping his flashforward come true by moving out of the house, at least one major character seems to be doing everything in his power to thwart his.
Janis Is a Traitor on 'FlashForward' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Apr 9th 2010 1:50AM
Let's face it. The show 'FlashForward' (Thu., 8PM ET on ABC) is a little confusing. The drama is centered around the idea that everyone in the world suddenly had a blackout, and then could see six months into their own future. Which begs the question: What is reality? What is the present? What is the future?Watch the video after the jump.
Three Reasons Why 'Lost' is the Greatest Show You'll Never Watch on DVD
by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 7th 2010 4:08PM
Last night's episode of 'Lost' was excellent, wasn't it? For the first time this season it seems like we can finally see where the show is headed. The pieces are finally coming together. We don't know yet who is going to live or die (or even if "live" or "die" mean the same thing in this 'Lost' world) or what it ultimately all means, but last night was certainly a true turning point. Of course, the writers could still throw us a curve and we could find out that alternate-reality Desmond is actually a robot from the future obsessed with cheddar cheese, but it looks like the final handful of episodes will give us a real conclusion.
It's one of the greatest shows in TV history, and I'm probably never going to watch it on DVD.
Realities Collide as Desmond Saves Charlie on 'Lost' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 7th 2010 4:28AM
Is 'Lost' (Tue., 9PM ET on ABC) not the most insane, mind-blowing show that ever existed? Flashing forwards, backwards and sideways to the alphaverse, betaverse, the Temple, Dharmaville, New Otherton -- sheesh! On last night's craziness, Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) and Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) find themselves (again) under water, with Desmond (again) given the chance to save Charlie's life. As Charlie raises his hand to the glass, Desmond flashes to a season 3 timeline, when Charlie was about to drown and pressed his palm to the glass to relay the 'Not Penny's Boat' message.
But that's not even the most shocking part: Desmond doesn't know who Penny is!? The love of his life??

'Lost' - 'Happily Ever After' Recap
by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 7th 2010 3:07AM

(S06E10) Knowing this was a Desmond-centric episode, I expected us to take a major step forward in understanding the beta-verse, perhaps even experiencing it in a whole new way. Ever since the explosion at the hatch, Desmond seems to experience everything a little differently, and he's always there with his finger on the truth, even if he has no idea what that truth was.
Parallels between alpha- and beta- were running rampant throughout this episode. Fisher Stevens even returned in the beta-verse, to serve as Desmond's guide as he did once before, when Desmond was trapped in time. We got beta-appearances by Charlie, Daniel Faraday, Charles Widmore and even Eloise Hawking. Every encounter was a further step toward confusion and understanding.
'FlashForward' - 'Better Angels' Recap
by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 2nd 2010 4:23AM

(S01E14) With this week's episode, 'FlashForward' started to remind me a little of some of the more intriguing moments early on in 'Lost.' It's a risky comparison to find itself in, because 'Lost' is poised to be one of the greatest long-form narratives in the history of television.
Plus, with a series name that reminds people of one element of 'Lost,' even if the book that 'FlashForward' was based on did precede the island mystery saga, and with Dominic Monaghan and Sonya Walger in the cast, does it really need to keep reminding people of a show it probably can't stand neck-and-neck with?
Regardless, though, once again 'FlashForward' took some important steps forward in its narrative, while Mark continued taking stupid steps backwards because ... well, he is still Mark Benford.
