Donny Deutsch Gets Savannah-Curious in 'Today' Talk About Bi-curious Women (VIDEO)
by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 25th 2011 12:30PM
A discussion about the Boise State 'bi-curious' women study got a little awkward on 'Today' (weekdays, 9AM ET on NBC) as Savannah Guthrie led a panel discussion featuring Starr Jones, Donny Deustch and Dr. Nancy Snyderman. The study says that half of all women are bi-curious, and that 60% of women have been attracted to another woman, but the only thing the panel demonstrated was that Deutsch is kind of into Savannah Guthrie. From the start, Deutsch had trouble controlling his excitement. "Duh! Duh!," he said after Guthrie read the news. "It's not as natural as a guy being bi-curious," he said. Dr. Nancy Snyderman backed him up.
Donny Deutsch Defends Bravo's Controversial 'Housewives' Decision on Business Grounds (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Sep 1st 2011 4:00PM
Russell Armstrong's suicide last month put the future of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' in doubt. Armstrong was the estranged husband of 'Housewives' star Taylor Armstrong, and the dissolution of their marriage was originally going to be a central storyline of the new season. Bravo made the decision this week to premiere the series on schedule, re-edit some of that storyline, and include some newly taped interview footage with the Housewives discussing the tragedy. Thursday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC), Donny Deutsch defended Bravo's controversial decision to not push back the premiere."They made the right call for a few reasons," said Deutsch. "Number one, they're a business. And this is going to be good television. I hate to use that word. It's reality TV, it's train wreck TV. Unfortunately, this was a fatal train wreck."
Kathie Lee Hints At Something Naughty About Her Husband's Bad Back (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 21st 2011 5:25PM
Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb recently took a day cruise but had to leave their men behind. Tuesday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC), Gifford said that her husband and Kotb's boyfriend had to stay back because they have bad backs, then implied there might be something naughty about the cause of said bad backs. She also implied that business commentator Donny Deutsch, who was also on the boat, had a bad back as well."Frank was supposed to go and Jay was supposed to go," said Gifford. "At the last minute, both of our guys have bad backs. Wonder why." That last comment made Kotb laugh uncomfortably and drew a catcall or two from the crew. "Donny's back's hurting, too," said Gifford.
Deutsch made things worse by coming on and saying that Gifford had given him a head massage. He tried to explain that it was PG and "legit," but Gifford said everyone had a different part of Deutsch during the massage. Deutsch then complimented Kotb's boyfriend, Jay, to which Gifford said it was "too bad about his back, though." Apparently, being with Gifford and Kotb is more physical torment than the average man can take.
NeNe Leaks Doesn't Think Donny Deutsch Is a Love Guru (VIDEO)
by Jeremy Taylor, posted Feb 15th 2011 12:00PM
Donny Deutsch, who dispenses relationship advise to women on Bravo's live call-in show 'Love Calling,' appeared on 'Piers Morgan Tonight' (weekdays, 9 PM ET on CNN) with some of the ladies from 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta."Piers had Deutsch take a few calls from women with relationship questions, and asked The Housewives to critique Deutsch's professional love guru skills.
When a caller asked Deutsch what the key was to keeping her man happy, one of the techniques Deutsch suggested was "to continually surprise him sexually."
This piece of advise elicited immediate groans from the Housewives.
Housewife NeNe Leaks was particularly critical of Deutsch's suggestion that women need to be ones keeping things fresh in the bedroom, eventually declaring, "Try something new? Why don't he try something new? He's still coming up with that same old size -- can it grow?"
There's only one way to settle this, because we don't really want to be the arbiters of this particular feud. NeNe and Donnie should probably just start co-hosting together, if you know what we mean.
Donny Deutsch Prepares to Share 'Wisdom' on 'Love Calling' (VIDEO)

On 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC), Donny Deutsch hypes his live special 'Love Calling,' in which he'll dispense love advice to women callers. Deutsch seems excited to impart his "wisdom" to those seeking help, but Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb think differently.Donny Deutsch is Hypnotized By Niecy Nash's Chest on 'Rachael Ray' (VIDEO)

On 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Donny Deutsch is hypnotized by Niecy Nash's cleavage. Deutsch makes several attempts to stop staring, but, inevitably, he's drawn back to the actress' chest.Donny Deutsch: Obama Needs to 'Show Some Balls' and Arrest Pastor Terry Jones (VIDEO)
by Jeremy Taylor, posted Sep 10th 2010 4:15PM
The gang on 'Morning Joe' (Weekdays, 6 AM ET on MSNBC) had a discussion this morning about would-be Quran-burning pastor Terry Jones, which flew off the deep end when both Pat Buchanan and Donny Deutsch argued that President Obama should have Jones arrested."If the pastor has not by tomorrow ... stood down, frankly I would have U.S. Marshals or the FBI arrest him and take him into custody," conservative commentator Pat Buchanan opined.
"I never like to agree with Pat on anything," added the more liberal-minded Deutsch. "But he's right. This is what the Commander-in-Chief does. It's no different than authorizing a billion dollars in stimulus money."
Mika Brzezinski then wondered if President Obama should get former Presidents involved with the Jones negotiations, but Deutsch was having none of that.
"Stop with the diplomacy with lunatics within our own country," was Deutsch's fist-pounding message to Barack Obama. "Show some balls here. Enough. Enough!"
It should be pointed out that Mika and the other panelists did bring up that pesky little thing called the First Amendment, when explaining to Buchanan and Deustch why their plan to arrest Jones might not be realistic.
Why Nike Deserves Kudos For Its Tiger Ad
by Joel Keller, posted Apr 8th 2010 2:08PM
Nike is kind of like the Microsoft of the athletic world; often derided and criticized, but wildly successful for reasons no one wants to acknowledge. For instance, I constantly keep buying Nike basketball shoes, even though I know that they're too narrow for my clodhopper feet, because they just look so damned cool.
One of the things they've been able to do so well is put together compelling advertising. And, after the Tiger Woods mess spilled all over the media landscape, there was likely a large segment of those watchers who were wondering what Woods' largest sponsor would do to address the mess. Would they meet it head on or try to avoid the issue?
Well, the met it head on, and in the best way possible. Here is the new Nike ad with Woods, debuting during last night ahead of the Masters:
