'Futurama' is Coming Back This June! And Bender! And His Banjo! And Fry!
by Danny Gallagher, posted Mar 5th 2010 2:43AM
Are you looking forward to the carefree and sunny days of summer when the temperature drops to a balmy 80 or 90 degrees, just perfect for tossing around a frisbee, taking a walk with a loved one or just appreciating the sheer beauty and majesty of Mother Earth? Now you've got a perfect excuse to leave all that crap for the hippies and stay inside. Hitfix reports that some unidentified "Comedy Central sources" have confirmed that the brand spanking new episodes of 'Futurama' will hit the cable network's airwaves on Thursday, June 24.
Katey Sagal and Billy West on the return of Futurama
by Danny Gallagher, posted Jun 22nd 2009 11:08AM

Futurama has gone through more frustrating cancellations than a United Airlines flight leaving Chicago's O'Hare Airport. No one knows that better than voice actor Billy West and actress Katey Sagal who respectively provide the voice, heart and soul of the show's two main characters, Fry and Leela.
But what has kept the show going is the camaraderie of the cast and crew. Everyone from the show still keep in touch in between other jobs and even have the occasional reunion from their regular crowded visits at ComicCon to smaller get togethers like when Katey said the cast got together to watch her last concert at the MBar in Hollywood.
Most of all, they said they have the fans to thank for their next big reunion when Futurama goes back into production. They both took a short time out of their busy schedules to chat about Comedy Central's two season order.
Four "Futurama" films are filming
by Jonathan Toomey, posted Jan 22nd 2006 3:01PM
There's a mouthful. Billy West (he voices Fry, Zoidberg, Zapp Brannigan and a ton others) has his own
website and recently announced
that there are four (straight to DVD release) feature-length films in the works. That's a whole lotta
Futurama. He says they're going to start filming sometime this coming July and that "everybody is excited
to get back together." Based on that it sounds like no one is being left out. This is outstanding news as my love
of this show has slowly been diminishing because I've seen every episode so many times... similar to Bob's recent
epiphany that he's sick of
Seinfeld.
Four movies though? I can't wait.
