Tracy Morgan in a slutty dress

by Anna Johns, posted Jul 3rd 2007 3:08PM
tracy morganTMZ has a really weird picture of Tracy Morgan dressed like a flapper and holding hands with his wife. Apparently it's for a GQ magazine shoot, though I can't even imagine why he's wearing the skimpy dress. But, it's Tracy Morgan and we'll have to leave it at that.

On top of the slutty dress and the high heels (which he seems to be walking comfortably in), he's also sporting a lovely ankle bracelet that's a requirement of his DUI probation. The device is called a SCRAM, and it tests his skin for alcohol vapors and he's required to wear it for 90 days.

Check out the photo here. It'll make you laugh.

Extreme stupidity: Ty Pennington arrested

by Bob Sassone, posted May 7th 2007 4:01PM

Ty PenningtonIf you were to list all of the celebs that I thought would be arresteded for driving while under the influence of alcohol, I wouldn't think Ty Pennington would be on the list. Of course, that's a silly assumption, since anyone can drink and drive, but I guess I think of the Paris Hiltons and David Hasselhoffs of the world first. And unknown reality stars.

The Extreme Makeover host was arrested over the weekend and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and possibly drugs too. Pennington released a statement saying that he "made an error in judgement" and "I want to apologize to ABC and my fans..." Translation: "I've done this before and it sucks that I got caught" and "damn, I hope this doesn't screw up my ABC gig!"

Hopefully he doesn't build those houses in the same condition.

Paris Hilton headed to jail!

by Bob Sassone, posted May 4th 2007 9:02PM

Paris Hilton...tonight, on a very special episode of The Simple Life.

OK, maybe they won't make it part of the show, though I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Paris Hilton has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation, and being a moron. Well, not that last part, but definitely for violating her probation. She is going to have to show up to jail on June 5, and the judge is not going to let her do a furlough or wear a monitoring bracelet or any other easy way out. Doesn't sound too "hot."

Now comes the part where all of you unleash your comments below and let us know if this is a good thing or not, and make jokes about what jail will be like for Paris Hilton. The jail she's going to is the same place that held O.J. Simpson, and their main meal is usually chicken.

Yancy Butler arrested for DUI

by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 15th 2007 7:52PM

Yancy ButlerActress Yancy Butler is in trouble with the law again. She was arrested on Tuesday for driving under the influence and crashing her Saab 900 into a guard rail. Butler also got into legal troubles a few years ago and just last month she argued with a former boyfriend and was charged with disorderly conduct. She was released and will be in court later this month.

All of the stories on Butler call her "fomer Witchblade star Yancy Butler," but I'll always remember her from Mann and Machine, the short-lived sci-fi action series on NBC in the 90s. It wasn't a very good show, but it was cool to see a series like that on one of the major networks, a show about two cops and the female cop is a robot!

TV Squad Daily with Brigitte - VIDEO

by Brigitte Dale, posted Feb 19th 2007 3:28PM
Hey, Brigitte here with TV Squad Daily. I'll be covering the TV stories I find interesting each day, Monday through Friday, in this video blog.

Today on TV Squad Daily:
  • Oh, Britney Spears. We thought K-Fed was your problem, but maybe he was the only thing holding you together?
  • Maybe Britney got the idea to shave her head from Donald Trump. He and WWE owner Vince McMahon have a bet going, and the winner gets to shave the loser's head.
  • Ray Liotta was arrested for suspected D.U.I. over the weekend. Why did cops "suspect" him? Well, he did hit two parked cars with his SUV...

Tracy Morgan pleads guilty to drunk driving charge

by Joel Keller, posted Feb 14th 2007 7:20PM
Tracy MorganI've got to tell you, every time I hear Tracy Morgan interviewed on a radio show or hear about one of his drunk driving arrests, I start to wonder if his nutty character on 30 Rock, Tracy Jordan, is that far out of reality.

Case in point: Jordan just plead guilty to a misdemeanor drunk driving charge, for which he was arrested on November 28 in New York. The charges will be dismissed if he meets a number of conditions over the next few months, like completing an alcohol program, doing community service, and avoiding being arrested for six months. He was also fined $1000 and had his driver's license suspended for six months. Outside court, he apologized by saying, "Drinking and driving is not cool," which you can just hear spilling out of his mouth in that unique cadence of his. Surprised he didn't say "Yo" and "man" in there somewhere.

Which makes me wonder: does the real Tracy see purple blue men that look like Rachel Dratch when he takes the wrong happy pills, just like the fictional Tracy? I'm not sure I want to find out.

Tracy Morgan arrested for drunk driving

by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 28th 2006 3:02PM

Tracy MorganWhen I first saw the headline, I thought it sounded like the plot for an upcoming episode of 30 Rock, or something that would happen to Jordan McDeere on Studio 60: comedian Tracy Morgan was arrested this morning in New York for drunk driving. Of course, TMZ has all the info (they seem to be the go-to site for breaking celeb news...I think they must have a reporter covering every single celeb in the world at all times). Morgan admitted to cops that he was drinking beer before getting into the car.

And this isn't the first time that Morgan has been arrested for drunk driving. He was arrested and convicted of D.U.I. last year in Los Angeles. Maybe this is part of some cross-country drunk driving tour that Morgan is doing. "On December 9th I'll be driving drunk on the freeway near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and then on the 14th I'll be in Cleveland driving drunk on the street outside the Yuk Yuk Hut."

Paris Hilton arrested - BROKEN NEWS

by Bob Sassone, posted Sep 7th 2006 12:32PM

Paris HiltonWow, like this wasn't ever going to happen.

Model/reality show star/hotel heiress/"actress" Paris Hilton was arrested early this morning in Hollywood and charged with DUI. Police officers noticed that Hilton was driving erratically and pulled her over at 12:30am.

My favorite part: her spokesman Elliott Mintz says that she "didn't appear intoxicated" and had "only" the legal limit to be considered intoxicated. Oh, that makes it OK then.

The story is a bit misleading in one aspect. It says that she was picked up by "sister Nicky Hilton, boyfriend Kevin Connolly, and Mintz." I'm pretty sure that Connolly (from Entourage) is Nicky Hilton's boyfriend, no? The way it's worded makes it sound like he's Paris' other half.

Drunk driving. It's so hot.

Lost: Lindeloff puts Ana Lucia rumors to rest

by Anna Johns, posted Feb 10th 2006 9:28AM
michelle rodriguez lindeloffLost producers are denying rumors in US Weekly that Michelle Rodriguez, who plays the unlikable Ana Lucia on Lost, is being booted off the show for her bad behavior. Michelle's poor decisions about drinking and driving made headlines several times during the fall, but Lost producers say that's no reason to vote the girl off the island.

Co-creator Damon Lindeloff told TV Guide Online's Ask Ausiello, "Not a word of it is true. Lost's story is the star, and no actor would ever be killed off for any reason other than supporting the story."

Hmmm. Damon may be speaking a little too early on that one. Rodriguez goes to trial in March on her latest drunk driving charge, where she could be sent to California for violating probation related to drunk driving charges there. I think that'd bring a quick end to Ana Lucia.

Desperate Housewives: We're Gonna Be Allright

by Sarah Gilbert, posted Jan 16th 2006 9:07AM

desperate housewives susan in hospitalWhen I saw Greg Germann sitting there at the bar in the opening scene, I almost jumped up and down with glee. I loved him on Ally McBeal and oh, how I've missed him (turns out he's been doing B movies and such these past several years)! Is he joining the show?

Um, no. He's the very epitome of the bad date, told in one of the most charming ways I've seen recently. Mary Ellen's voiceovers make everything just seem so infused with destiny. It's really a lovely trick and, in this scene, its played to maximum effect.

Susan, she's not loving the boor German plays at all. Much better: the doctor that treats them both for a vicious accidental head-butt. (heh. "in some cultures headbutting is a mating ritual!" heh heh). He's certainly a hotty and Susan proceeds to pursue him in the awkward way that no one but Susan could.

Lost star apologizes for DUI

by Anna Johns, posted Jan 13th 2006 11:23AM
Cynthia Watros, who plays Libby on Lost, apologized to a judge for drinking and driving. She pleaded guilty to DUI, after being picked up by police in Hawaii on December 1st. Watros had to pay a $370 fine, have her driver's license suspended for 90 days, and attend alcohol counseling. Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Ana Lucia on Lost, was also picked up for drunk driving on the same night. She has chosen to fight the charge and will go on trial in March. If convicted, she could be sent to prison in California for violating her probation for drunk driving charges in that state. Maybe the outcome of that trial will determine whether Ana Lucia lives or dies at the end of this season... or maybe that's already decided.

Lost gals enter different pleas to DUI

by Anna Johns, posted Dec 30th 2005 1:39PM
Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Ana Lucia on Lost, entered a 'not guilty' plea to DUI in court yesterday. Actually, her lawyer entered the plea for her as she did not make a personal appearance. That means, in true Ana Lucia style, she'll be going on trial on March 30th in Hawaii to fight charges that she was driving drunk on November 24th. As we've been reporting, Rodriguez has a long list of speeding charges in Hawaii and she is currently on probation in California for drunk driving and hit-and-run. If a judge decides that Rodriguez was in violation of her probation by driving while drunk in Hawaii, she could go to prison in California for up to 18 months. If not, she could at least spend 14 days in a Hawaiian jail, a $1,500 fine, and loss of her license for a year (shouldn't that happen anyway?).

As for Cynthia Watros, who plays Libby on Lost (and the one who looked the most tanked), her lawyer asked for a new arraignment date for Jan. 12 so she can change her plea to guilty. Her lawyer said, "Cynthia realizes she made a mistake."
