'Nurse Jackie' - 'Apple Bong' Recap

(S02E04) There's a lot about 'Nurse Jackie' that reminds me of a ticking bomb. Eddie at the pharmacy. Gloria at the hospital. Cooper and Sam getting under Jackie's skin. She's like a tightly wound clock that could pop a spring at any point. Without any major drugs this episode, she seemed more tightly wound than ever. For more about Jackie and the pressure cooker she calls her life, read on.
'Nurse Jackie' - 'Twitter' Recap

(S02E02) When it comes to Jackie and her reliance on meds, what came first -- the stress or the drugs? You have to wonder. For those who think that Jackie is like House, there's one difference which is House had a serious injury that was the gateway to his Vicodin addiction. Jackie did allude to back problems last season, but now she just swipes pills and pops them like they're a crutch.
Anyway, this thought occurred as Jackie continues to be a mass of contradictions, especially to herself. This week was no different. More on that and the smoke alarms after the jump.
How to make your dog a TV star
Ever watch Frasier and think your dog could trounce Eddie in a cute-off? Don't have any kids to hustle around Hollywood for pocket change? How do you even know if your pooch makes the grade when it comes to potential television stardom? Well, the LA Times got a rundown on celebrity canine characteristics from Le Paws pet talent agency and Pomeranian stage mom Melissa Howard. If you're aiming for Benji and not knock-off Boomer fame, the things your dog needs to know include tips like "get an agent," "get a publicist" and "you have to love it." Sounds about the equivalent of the advice they give would-be Hollywood actors, writers and directors.
Gun safety with Jason and Eddie
*Yawn* Hey, how's it going? Enjoying your Saturday? That's great. Anyway, since I
always like to toss vacuous but entertaining tidbits your way on these lazy weekends, I thought you might enjoy this
old PSA for gun safety featuring Jason Priestly and a rapping eagle named Eddie. I've seen segments of this pop up
on television before, but this is the first time I've seen it in its entirety. The first scenario shows several kids
rooting around "grandma's attic." Now, I don't know who this "grandma" is but she apparently has
grandchildren of every race and nationality. That's got to be some kind of record. Also, a rap song about not shooting
guns is almost quaint, considering so many actual rap songs are about how much fun it is to shoot guns, and
people. Anyway, the point is not to just walk away from the gun, but to first do a few choreographed dance moves and
then shimmy out the door with your hands in the air like you just don't care. Enjoy the clip after the jump.
