Several unfortunate groups of people got a scare while viewing props from the set of 'Friends.' Each time, the mariachi band hid silently behind a couch. Then, when the tourists least expected it, the six-piece band startled them with a rendition of 'Cielito Lindo.'

Backstage Interviews at 'Dancing With the Stars': Kendra, Carrie Ann Make Up; John Travolta Loves Maks

by Michael Maloney, posted Apr 19th 2011 7:00AM
Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van AmstelRivalries, couples not getting along, polarizing celebrities and loads of off-screen drama. These are the things that, for better or worse, have at times dominated the reality competition series known as 'Dancing With the Stars.'

But as regular viewers of the show are finding out, there's not much of that going on in season 12. Instead, the most compelling aspects of the show are taking place right where they should be -- on the dance floor.

There was, however, one feud that seemed to erupt from last week's show -- Kendra Wilkinson appeared to take great umbrage at judge Carrie Ann Inaba's remark that she appeared fearful of embracing elegance.

Wilkinson was still clearly upset by the exchange in the video segment shown prior to this week's dance. But what viewers may not know is that the two women cleared the air just before Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel performed the fox trot on Monday night.

Karina Smirnoff Considers Spectacular Fall With Ralph Macchio on 'DWTS'In order to improve their scores next week on 'Dancing With the Stars,' Ralph Macchio and dance pro Karina Smirnoff promised a stellar performance. But, if that doesn't work, Smirnoff seems prepared to literally knock Macchio off his feet in an attention-grabbing bid, she said on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated).

Ellen DeGeneres pointed out that, unlike Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kirstie Alley, the pair didn't stumble during their performance earlier in the week. And yet, both couples earned the same score. This seemed to give Smirnoff an idea. "We decided next week we're really going to work hard on doing a great job and maybe I'll just push him down the stairs or something," she joked, gesturing to Macchio.
