Singer Katie Stevens appeared today on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated). The 17-year-old was kicked off 'American Idol' last week, but she seemed to be in high spirits while talking to DeGeneres. She also got to dish with DeGeneres about Simon Cowell. In her spare time -- when not hosting a talk show -- DeGeneres is also a judge on 'Idol.' So the two ladies had a lot to talk about.Watch the video after the jump.
'Ellen' and 'The Ellen Show' Stars: Where Are They Now?
by Kim Potts, posted Mar 24th 2010 5:00PM
We know where Ellen DeGeneres is -- when she's not hosting her Daytime Emmy-winning 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' she's with Simon, Randy and Kara at the 'American Idol' judges table. But what happened to the funny lady's former TV cohorts from her Emmy-winning 1994-98 ABC sitcom 'Ellen' (which included the famous 'Puppy Episode,' where DeGeneres' character, Ellen Morgan, announced she was gay) and her short-lived 2001-02 CBS comedy 'The Ellen Show'?
Where are they now? Check it out after the jump.
Patrick Dempsey Wears a Thong on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 12th 2010 12:41AM
We had no idea that Patrick Dempsey was such a big fan of Ellen DeGeneres underwear. Apparently, he wears it around the house all the time.To celebrate, DeGeneres gave him a whole bunch of new underwear when he stopped by 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated). There was red underwear, gold underwear, even rubber underwear.
But the best, by far, was the thong. The 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thurs., 9PM ET on ABC) star was so excited, he put it on right then and there – but darn, on top of his jeans. Oh well, we McDreamy fans can dream, can't we?

'The Price is Right' Fainter Denies It on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 4th 2010 1:30AM
Did you catch 'The Price is Right' episode where the contestant fainted? OMG, it was wild! One minute, Drew Carey is galloping along with his Showcase spiel, and the next, he looks over and she's dropped to the floor. Now the alleged fainter is denying that she actually fainted. Ok, well ... maybe. Watch the video below from 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) and tell us if you think she fainted or not. It certainly looks like a faint; on the other hand, she sprang right back up. Just to be on the safe side, Ellen gave her a backpack mattress. You know, just in case.

Serena Williams Hits Tennis Balls, Breaks Plates on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 3rd 2010 1:30AM
There has to be something so satisfying about lobbing tennis balls at plates and shattering them into tiny pieces. But Ellen has a point. It's hard to visualize how much power is behind the swings of pro tennis players, especially someone as big, bad and beautiful as Serena Williams. That's why on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' Ellen put a tennis racquet in Serena's hand and had her hit tennis balls at the aforementioned plates, decked out with what appeared to be photos of Ellen and Serena.
Here's the funny part: On Serena's first swing, she missed the board entirely. And dang! Ellen has a really nice tennis arm!

LL Cool J Keeps His Cool on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 3rd 2010 1:07AM
LL Cool J lived up to his name on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) when he kept his cool after a little twist of words on Ellen's part. Look, the guy has some crazy-ass muscles, and you just know it takes a ton of work to keep 'em that way.So when Ellen asked how he managed to stay fit while logging such long hours on the set of 'NCIS: Los Angeles,' he said, "It's tough. You have to do it after hours, you have to do it on the weekends, you gotta figure it out. How bad do you want it?"
At this point, the audience cheered and Ellen said, "That's not what he meant! Don't answer that!" Ok, so maybe he got a little embarrassed, but still managed to keep it on the down-low ... or whatever it is cool guys say.

Rihanna Reveals Her New Tattoo to Ellen DeGeneres (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 1st 2010 8:25PM
Today on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Rihanna revealed her newest tattoo. In fact, the songstress has "approximately" 13 tattoos, and her newest is written across the side of her chest. After a brief scolding to the cameraman for getting too close, she told Ellen what the tattoo says. "Never a failure, always a lesson." "Basically, it's saying it's ok to make mistakes, just don't make 'em twice," said Rihanna. Not only that, but the tattoo is backwards, so she can read it in the mirror.
All of this prompted Ellen to reveal her own tattoo, which says, "Right side up." "Always reminding me which way to ... whoa, I'm upside down!"

Dear Oprah: I'd like to be on the cover of O too
by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 6th 2009 6:01PM
Dear Oprah:I saw that cover of the December issue of O magazine that was revealed today. Congrats to Ellen DeGeneres. She's been campaigning to get on the cover since last March, and it's good to see her goal become a reality. It proves that even regular folks with a daily daytime talk show and a million Twitter followers can realize their dreams too!
I'm not sure if this is the right venue for this, but I'll just come out and ask: can I be on your cover too? I don't have to be paid for it and you can dress me up any way that you like. I just want the honor of being on the cover with you.
Ellen DeGeneres nearly kills Taylor Swift
by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 2nd 2009 3:08PM
Practical jokes are funny, to a certain extent. Until someone loses an eye or something.
This clip is from an episode of Ellen last week. Taylor Swift was the guest so Ellen decided to sneak up on her as she went into her dressing room's bathroom. It doesn't look like a set-up, as Swift looks truly shocked, so my question is this: what if Swift had broken her ankle or slipped and hit her head on the toilet? She comes really close. What an embarrassing way to die that would have been. Yeah, really funny Ellen, you killed America's sweetheart in the toilet!
Swift's heels look about 9" tall.

Who wants to buy a new ring for Kate Gosselin?
by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 29th 2009 5:57PM
I know, it sounds like the worst idea for a game show ever, but actually I'm referring to this interview that Kate Gosselin did with Ellen DeGeneres the other day. She talks about all the stuff we've heard about already, but she also talks about a ring that she wants to buy "once she has a job."
It's funny how Kate says a bunch of lines that would ordinarily get a round of applause from an audience but I don't think they care. And it's great that Kate isn't doing talk shows and appearing in the public eye like Jon is, isn't it?

What's the biggest controversy in TV history?
by Bob Sassone, posted Aug 11th 2009 6:00PM
No, I'm not talking about the first Darrin being replaced on Bewitched. I'm talking about real, big controversies that not only affected the TV world, but the real world, as well. AOL has chosen the 20 greatest TV controversies of all-time. Included on the list are the Letterman/Palin battle, the Aqua Teen Hunger Force bomb scare in Boston, the Smothers Brothers political controversy, the quiz show scandals, and a certain nipple that made a cameo appearance at a rather important sporting event.
