What to Watch: April 5 - 11

Bones - Wednesday April 7, 8 pm, Global/Fox
For the 100th episode of 'Bones', David Boreanaz directs a backward-looking episode that recalls the early days of the Booth-Brennan relationship and how romance almost got in the way of the work. I too remember the early days of 'Bones' - the expensive 3-D technology they used to reconstruct a body, seeing Angel in a suit, the awkward dialogue of the overly-techy techies. I admit, I didn't think the show would make it this far. But there's no doubt Emily Deschanel and Boreanaz have great chemistry and that the show has grown and improved since those early days. Is it the new 'Moonlighting'? Not exactly, but it still deserves kudos.
'Bones' - 'The Bones on a Blue Line' Recap

(S05E15) "Go ye forth and live life to the fullest." - Sweets
Starting this week, regular reviews of the hit series 'Bones' return to TV Squad. What better week to resume our reviews of the show than by reviewing the 99th episode of the series? What's even better? The fact that this week's episode is the first of eight all new and uninterrupted episodes of the series!
After weeks of reruns, the series finally returns with a bang! Sweets' life is turned upside down by a dramatic event while a Japanese reporter follows Brennan and Booth around in order to get gossip on the people who inspired Brennan's latest book. Oh, and there's steamy page 187 of the book, too!
'Bones'' 100th Episode - Press Kits Unwrapped

FOX's top crime drama, 'Bones,' has grown a lot over the years, gathering more and more fans along the way as well as treating us with great episodes and compelling characters each week. Now that I've watched episodes 99 and 100 of the series -- both will air in early April -- I can't imagine why I actually didn't enjoy the pilot at all when I previewed it the summer before the series aired. I'm extremely happy in retrospect that I gave the pilot a second chance and tuned in when the series premiered back on September 13, 2005, as it is one of my favorite TV series nowadays.
In order to advertise the milestone episodes that are episodes 99 and 100, FOX sent out a press kit to media types like us. Let's open the box (see picture above) shall we?
'Ugly Betty' Casts Vanessa Williams' Brother, Plus Our Favorite Real-Life TV Siblings
Wilhelmina Slater just can't catch a break. Not only does she have a conniving daughter, a dead lover and Daniel Meade's ineptitude to deal with, now she's set to discover that she has a long-lost twin ... well, kind of.
The Ausiello Files is reporting that 'Ugly Betty''s resident devil in Prada is in for a shock in early 2010 when she discovers that she's the subject of a drag queen impersonation act, ingeniously named Wilhediva Hater. But that's not even the best part -- Ausiello's sources say that the man behind Willie's fabulous doppelganger is none other than Vanessa Williams' real-life brother, Chris Williams. There's nothing like keeping it in the family.
In light of this fierce casting, we at Inside TV have taken it upon ourselves to compile a list of our favorite real-life sibling co-stars to have graced the small screen in recent years:
Sister Act: Zooey Deschanel to Guest Star on 'Bones'
For most people, the holidays are a time for family rituals. Decorating the Christmas tree. Lighting the menorah. Solving a gruesome murder. OK, maybe that's not part of most family holidays, but that's exactly what 'Bones' has in store for fans this year, as Fox has announced Zooey Deschanel will be a special guest star for this year's holiday episode. Zooey, who has appeared in numerous films such as '500 Days of Summer' and 'Elf', will team up with her sister, 'Bones' star Emily Deschanel, for the first time on screen.
TV celebs touch each other's boobs for cancer research
Funny or Die has up an amusing clip starring a group of television and movie stars including Alyson Hannigan, Emily Deschanel, Kat McPhee, Minka Kelly and Jaime King in which they are at a slumber party together. One of them feels a lump on her breast and starts to panic. The issue gets resolved but not before the paparazzi show up to get some rather embarrassing photos of the group. The sketch was co-written by King and Taryn Southern and is sponsored by Her Energy in support of breast cancer research. The entire six-part series is called "Tit for Tat." Let's hear it for amusing double-entendres.
Still, it's for a good cause and stars a plethora of television personalities (including the ever-cute Ms. Hannigan whom I've adored since her days on Buffy the Vampire Slayer), so it's worth a look even if you're just a perv who likes watching female celebrities grope each other. Video is after the jump.
Bones: Harbingers in the Fountain (season premiere)

(S05E01) I'm sure I wasn't the only person dumbfounded by the way last season left off, but not to worry, faithful fans! We're not in for an entire season of Booth With Amnesia as feared. In fact, we pick up season five of Bones six weeks after Booth's brain surgery, and things are pretty much getting back to normal. Not only is Booth recovering fine, he seems to have (thankfully) gotten over his temporary amnesia and remembers Brennan as his partner and not his wife.
I'm not sure why, but Motley Crue is on Bones tonight
Don't Forget! Stewie Griffin guest stars on Bones tonight
Emily Deschanel Interview
"... when you are working with somebody for four years, it's kind of uncomfortable to have to kiss them and be in bed with them."In the hit procedural 'Bones' (Fox, Thurs., 8 PM), Emily Deschanel stars as forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperence Brennan, who's more comfortable with decaying bodies than she is with most living, breathing people. Deschanel is not Bones, though she did have a Brennan moment in our interview when we referred to her character as a "forensic pathologist" -- whoops!
The actress dished with us about the highly anticipated Brennan-Booth hookup, if we can expect to see her sister, Zooey, show up as a guest ... and which bones she just can't tell apart (Temperence would be so disappointed). -- By Angie Argabrite
Bones: Girl In The Mask - open thread

Of course, this could be a discussion of the other Bones episode we saw this week, "Double Death of the Dearly Departed." FOX has aired three episodes of Bones since last Thursday, surprising even longtime fans who had no idea that there would be yet another new episode of the show last night. What night would you like to see the show on permanently? And no, fans, you can't say "put it on twice a week every week." What did you think of last night's episode?
Bones: Man in the Outhouse

(S04E02) I have a, er, bone to pick with some of you. I understand that many of you are unhappy about Zack's fate. I also understand more of you are upset that the season premiere of Bones was less than stellar. But, that's no reason to totally rack up the fourth season as a total failure. It's looking bleak, I know, but a finale and a premiere sometimes don't make a season. All I ask is for you to hold off a bit until you judge this season as a total disaster.
Bones: Yanks in the UK (seson premiere)

(S04E01) Hullo Guv! Welcome to the fourth series premiere of Bones. It has been a summer of anger and anticipation for most fans of the show. Anger, as many felt creator Hart Hanson bollixed the whole thing up by making Zack Addy a bit potty. Anticipation, because those same fans are curious to see how Hanson and his writers will fill the gap and how the rest of the blokes at the Jeffersonian will adjust. And, of course, there's also the unanswered question as to the state of Bones and Booth's relationship: will they shag or not this season?
None of those questions were answered in this two-hour series premiere, althouth Zack's fate was briefly mentioned. What we did get was a trip to Londontown by Temperance and Seeley (hence, the British slang), and some significant relationship changes amongst the Squints. So, grab a pint, some fish n' chips, and your favorite duck, and let's begin.
What to expect in season four of Bones

A lot of Bones fans were unhappy last season when Zack was revealed to be Gormogon's apprentice. However, thanks to spoilers leaked over the summer, I can tell you we haven't seen the last of him. Want to know if the squints and co. are all back? If Angela and Hodgins will finally marry and be happy ever after? And if Brennan and Booth will truly kiss this season? Answers are coming up!
Beware: Spoilers ahead!
Bones: The Wannabe in the Weeds - VIDEO

(S03E14) "I am deceptively strong." Dr. Zach Addy
"I'm... deceived." Dr. Cameron Saroyan
This was a very lighthearted and playful episode, particularly after the gravitas of last week's trial. Not only was it a great send-up of FOX's sister show, American Idol, making light fun of the show and its contestants, but there was also a lot of joking around and funny moments, reminiscent of the best of Bones' first two seasons with the Squint Squad. It was nice to see them back in full force this episode. Simultaneously, there were plenty of clues from the beginning of the episode about what was going to happen. But I'll talk about that in a minute. Can we talk about Eric Millegan first? Did you know that he actually is a cabaret singer, and he has an act in LA, as well as a Broadway history pre-dating the show?
