Who Scored Big in Week 6 of SNL's Relevancy Poll?

by Mike Ryan, posted Nov 14th 2011 1:15PM
The reason that Emma Stone is such a good host is that she could easily be a cast member. The sketches don't have to feature her; she can just blend in and play a supporting character. In other words: she doesn't have to be the center of attention. Because of this, it leads to a show in which the cast can really shine. And, collectively, they did! But there were a few that had really standout weeks, including our surprise winner...

'SNL' Scorecard: Did Spider-Man Rescue Emma Stone's Show?

by Mike Ryan, posted Nov 13th 2011 12:40PM

Last season, Emma Stone hosted 'SNL' for the first time, a show that would introduce us to "Sex" Ed Vincent and "Les Jeunes de Paris." For Stone's return visit, "Les Jeunes de Paris" was back for a third time (sadly, "Sex" Ed still isn't back) – in fact, for whatever reason, of the first eight sketches of the night (including the two Update segments), only the Digital Short wasn't a recurring sketch. Even the Spider-Man monologue was a recurring sketch! Regardless, it doesn't matter -- Stone has now proven twice that she's a terrific host. But, after four subpar shows in a row to start the season, could Stone keep the momentum going that started with Charlie Day's show last week? On to the Scorecard!

by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 12th 2011 4:50AM
Emma Stone Ew Jimmy FallonEmma Stone may be Hollywood's next big thing, but that doesn't mean she's too good for a small screen role, as she demonstrated last night while visiting 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' (weeknights, 12.35AM ET on NBC).

Stone informed Fallon that her current favorite show is called 'Ew!' on Teen Nick -- don't worry if you haven't heard of it, there's a very good reason for that ...

Emma Stone Was Uncomfortable Screening Her Film With the First Lady (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 4th 2011 3:33AM
Emma Stone, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Different actors respond differently to their work. Emma Stone falls into the category of people who get uncomfortable watching herself on the screen, along with her 'The Help' co-star Octavia Spencer. This made for an uncomfortable evening, as Stone related on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS).

When the First Lady of the United States invites you to join her for a screening of your movie, you don't say no. But when she put Stone and Spencer right in the front row, there was no way they could avoid the discomfort of seeing their performances.

One thing that might have helped, but was sorely lacking, was alcohol.

Emma Stone, Spider Monkey, Kicked Ryan Gosling in the Throat on Set (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 22nd 2011 5:22AM
Emma Stone, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno''Crazy, Stupid, Love' is an all-star comedy film, but it seems some of the funniest stuff might have happened off-camera. Not that an incident between Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone was funny for her, according to her appearance on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

Stone didn't even know why she was reacting the way she was during filming of a scene reminiscent of the 'Dirty Dancing' lift. "I ran for him to pick me up and I don't know what happened," she said. "I went spider monkey around his head and kicked him in the throat."

After several repeated attempts, with the same disastrous result, Stone had to take a break. It was during this that she realized it was a visceral reaction to a childhood injury when she broke both arms falling off the parallel bars.

Emma Stone Had an Asthma Attack While Filming a Sex Scene (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 22nd 2010 4:22AM
Emma Stone Had an Asthma Attack While Filming a Sex SceneActress Emma Stone is currently starring in the film 'Easy A,' which is a remake of the classic novel 'The Scarlet Letter.' In both the book and the movie, the letter "A" stands for adultery. But in Emma's case, it just stands for asthma. One of these words is kind of sexy, and the other equals a common form of lung disease. And that sort of sums up Emma's problem.

On 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), Emma told Jay Leno how she learned she had asthma, and how she learned that she might have a few difficulties with the whole "sex" thing.

While filming a simulated sex scene for 'Easy A,' the actress had a bad asthma attack and had to be given oxygen. Apparently, she was doing a lot of "jumping up and down" during the scene. "Wow," Leno said.

Sexy Emma Stone vs. Grape Jelly on 'SNL' (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 25th 2010 4:10AM
Sexy Emma Stone vs. Grape Jelly on 'SNL'On 'Saturday Night Live' (Sat., 11:30PM ET on NBC), host Emma Stone played the hot girl that everyone loves to hate. In the show's digital short, Emma starred as an insufferable high school student. Her character suffered a random accident in the cafeteria, slipping on some grape jelly that was on the floor.

For a while, it was all good! Emma still had it going on, so all the cool boys and girls still wanted to hang out with her. She demanded that they sign their names on her plaster arm cast. "Now, sign my cast/ Sign my cast/ Sign my cast!" she chanted.

Then, Emma slipped on the same patch of jelly again, and again ... and again. She wound up in a wheelchair, with only a Stephen Hawking-style vocal computer/keyboard thing for her "voice." "Now, sign my keyboard/ Sign my keyboard/ Sign my keyboard," she "sang," to considerably less excitement.

'Saturday Night Live' - Emma Stone and Kings of Leon Recap

by Dr. Ryan Vaughan, PhD (no, seriously), posted Oct 24th 2010 10:10AM
Emma Stone, Saturday Night Live['SNL' - 'Season 36, Episode 4']

It must be hard being the next Lindsay Lohan -- the next young, hot, ginger on the scene. No wait, it can't be that difficult, all you really need to do is wear underwear and avoid running people over with your car, drunk. Emma Stone is great at that.

That being said, Emma is doing a smashing job helping us forget what Lohan could have been, a few benders and Herbie movies lighter, but there is one venue where Lindsay's legacy still shines -- her 'Saturday Night Live' hosting appearances -- and Ms. Stone will have to put together an epic night to fill that court-ordered alcohol monitoring bracelet.
