Jack and Beverly Face Off Over Allison's Strange Behavior on 'Eureka' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 9th 2011 5:45PM
Beverly walks out of her prison cell and into the street after giving everyone a temporary coma on 'Eureka' Sometimes when your friends act a little weird, you can chalk it up to a bad day, or maybe some bad news, or the rain. Or perhaps neural implants that keep her under the control of a psychiatrist working for a shadow organization looking to harness your laboratory's technology for evil. The latter happened on 'Eureka' (Mondays, 8PM on Syfy), when Jack suspected things weren't quite right with Allison.

Jack found out that Beverly, the psychiatrist in question, was the one responsible for his girlfriend's strange behavior. He locked her in a cell and asked what she'd done, but Beverly was clever and prepared, and with a click of her little keychain device, she sent the whole town into a temporary coma.

Syfy Cancels 'Eureka'

by Catherine Lawson, posted Aug 9th 2011 7:20AM
'Eureka' CastBad news for 'Eureka' fans: It's been reported that Syfy has changed its mind about giving the series a sixth season.

Last week we heard that Syfy had ordered a final six episodes to close the series out with a truncated sixth season in 2013 but, according to 'Entertainment Weekly,' those six episodes have now been nixed.

In a statement, Syfy said: "After painstaking consideration, we have had to make the difficult business decision to not order a season six of 'Eureka.' But 'Eureka' is not over yet. There is a new holiday episode this December and 12 stellar episodes set to debut next year, marking its fifth season and six memorable years on Syfy."

However, sources at SyFy now say that may not be the case.

He added that, "Although we do not have a commitment beyond six episodes for the sixth season, we are hopeful that this will not be the end of the franchise."

Fargo and Zane Take an Unexpected Trip Into Orbit on 'Eureka' Premiere (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 12th 2011 1:49AM
'Eureka' - 'Liftoff'Syfy original programming came back in a major way with the premieres of three scripted series. Kicking off the night was the return of 'Eureka' (Mon., 8PM ET on Syfy), followed by the Season 3 premiere of 'Warehouse 13' and the series premiere of 'Alphas.'

And to make sure the geek inside all of us was immediately engrossed, 'Eureka' tapped into that astronaut fantasy everyone harbored when they were younger. Only, it wasn't all fun and games for Fargo and Zane when they accidentally launched themselves into orbit.

For one, the capsule they were in was very crowded. For another, Zane was still emotionally mixed up about what is, or isn't, going on with Jo. That left Fargo to be brilliant and save their lives ... which he actually did.

'Eureka' and 'Warehouse 13' Get in the Holiday Spirit with Christmas Episodes

by Maureen Ryan, posted Dec 7th 2010 1:45PM
'Eureka' and 'Warehouse 13' wrapped up their most recent sets of episodes in September (no, we can't call those episodes a season, thanks to the enduring wackiness of cable scheduling).

But both shows are back with Christmas episodes (9PM ET and 10PM ET Tuesday, Syfy) so if you like a little dusting of comedic sci-fi on your eggnog, put on your best Christmas sweater and park yourself in front of your TV.

It won't surprise you to learn that tonight's 'Warehouse 13' involves a rogue Santa and that a "tactical assault sleigh" visits the town of Eureka, will it?

'Eureka' Season 4, Episode 9 (Mid-Season Finale) Recap

'Eureka' - 'I'll Be Seeing You'
('Eureka' - 'I'll Be Seeing You')
One episode shy of the halfway point in this 20-episode season, 'Eureka' is rolling up the sidewalks and saying goodbye until its holiday special this December. The series put a bow on the time-travel story that had dictated much of the plot since the season premiere shifted five of the principal cast members to 1947.

As with all good time travel stories, the beginning is the end and the end is the beginning. So it was back to the beginning for Carter and Dr. Grant, though the circumstances of their arrival were a little different, and under a situation that would have been heartbreakingly tragic if this wasn't 'Eureka.' Yes, 'Eureka' has done heartbreak before, but there's a light-hearted feel to the show that tells you when everything's going to be all right.

It's not that different in television, and during the summer -- when baseball is thriving -- a lot of primetime drama series thrive thanks in no small part to the contributions of valuable assets like the following "boys of summer."

Without the experienced and knowing assists of veteran actors, the summer series listed here simply wouldn't be as entertaining.

'Eureka' Season 4, Episode 8 Recap

James Calllis, 'Eureka'('Eureka' - 'The Ex-Files') "You never said who you were seeing." --Allison Blake to Charles Grant
"Tall, leggy blonde, slinky red dress." --Grant

That, my friends, was a good one. In an obvious nod to James Callis's other little sci-fi and Syfy, role, the entire episode revolved around familiar faces making return appearances. Beverly Barlowe's return last week was apparently just the beginning of a whole slew of 'Eureka' return engagements. And that wasn't even the main story.

Giving Trevor, I mean Charles Grant a little more character, it turns out that he's against using research facilities like Global Dynamics for the purpose of creating weapons of mass destruction, or chaos, or anything else that the military and General Mansfield want the facility churning out like it's an assembly line.
