'Eureka' - 'Stoned' Recap
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 21st 2010 4:00PM
(Season 4, Episode 7) Sometimes you have to fight for what you want. Sometimes it's too late. And when you're dealing with time travel, that can take on a whole new meaning. Zoey returned to Eureka this week for a visit, where we discovered that she's moved on to a new Mr. Right. But, as this is Eureka, a visit to town just wouldn't be complete without falling hands first into the newest scientific danger. It was a fun one this week, though lighter on the action than we've seen in recent weeks. Perhaps Colin Ferguson was too tired from filming 'Lake Placid 3' to handle it, so instead we got a fairly low-key, though no less deadly, conundrum for him to try and solve with his down-home charm and smile.
Plus, did you really think you could pluck a man from 1947 and drop him into the Information Age, at a high-tech company like Global Dynamics no less, and no one would notice?

Comic Book Legend Stan Lee to Guest on 'Eureka'
by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 19th 2010 4:40PM
It's not as if Syfy's 'Eureka' is lacking in geek cred, but they'll peg the meter next season when, according to TVGuide.com, Stan Lee will make a cameo appearance. The show, about a town built to house and nurture America's most promising scientific geniuses, was just renewed for a fifth season. The comic book legend joins an already crowded list of guest stars, including Ming-Na ('Stargate Universe'), Wil Wheaton ('Star Trek: The Next Generation'), Jamie Kennedy ('Ghost Whisperer'), Chris Parnell ('Saturday Night Live'), Felicia Day ('The Guild'), and former show regulars Ed Quinn and Matt Frewer, who also recently guest starred on 'True Blood' and 'Supernatural,' respectively.
Syfy Orders a Fifth Season of 'Eureka'
by Mike Moody, posted Aug 17th 2010 5:00PM
Here's proof that reboots can work: Syfy has renewed quirky dramedy 'Eureka' for a fifth season. The show premiered to solid numbers in July with a new storyline that tossed all the major characters into an alternate timeline where things are slightly more off-kilter than usual. The series also added 'Battlestar Galactica' vet James Callis to the cast this year as time-traveling scientist Dr. Charles Grant.
According to a Syfy press release, 'Eureka' is averaging more than 3 million viewers per week, with half of those viewers in the key 18-49 demo.
'Eureka' - 'Momstrosity' Recap
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 14th 2010 2:25PM
(S04E06) With one of 'Eureka's' strongest outings of the season, 'Momstrosity' managed to make me fall even more in love with Deputy Andy. It also showed a side of this whole alternate reality situation I hadn't even considered, which is perhaps even more tragic than everything Jo has had to endure so far. This week, it was all about the robots and a great statement on just how reliant we've become on them. While not as heavy-handed in its approach as 'The Terminator' or 'Battlestar Galactica,' it was still a pretty dangerous situation when artificial intelligence got out of hand.
While one romance appeared to end, another one began ... and it's probably one of the most unique relationships in the history of television.
Holiday Special Casting News for 'Warehouse 13' and 'Eureka'
by Ryan McKee, posted Aug 11th 2010 11:00AM
Remember getting excited for the TV Christmas specials as a child? Instead of now, where you dread the holiday hiatus your favorite shows take. Well, the people at Syfy seem to remember that joy, and they're already working on how to recreate it for you this holiday season. Entertainment Weekly reports that Judd Hirsch and Paul Blackthorne will guest star on 'Warehouse 13' for the network's first-ever stand-alone holiday episode. Hirsh is cast as Artie's estranged father, while Blackthorne is playing a workaholic who encounters a Santa-obsessed thief. It looks like Syfy will be pouring a lot of eggnog into their flagship show.
'Eureka' - 'Crossing Over' Recap
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 8th 2010 1:15PM
(S01E05) You can't go back again. This week, that statement proved to be both true and untrue, as Claudia Donovan (Allison Scagliotti) paid a visit to Eureka from 'Warehouse 13.' Her stop by was the second part of the big 'Eureka'/'Warehouse 13' crossover epic event! Actually, the two parts are mostly self-contained so it's not so much a big epic crossover as it is two like-minded series showing some appreciation for one another.Claudia brought all the sass and snarkiness that made her an invaluable addition to the cast of 'Warehouse 13' to 'Eureka,' from the moment she opened her mouth upon arrival. The flirting with Fargo was relentless throughout, but then Claudia's presence suddenly became the least of our problems.
'Warehouse 13' - '13.1' Recap
by Mike Moody, posted Aug 4th 2010 11:40AM
Robot spiders! Lightsabers! Leisure suits! I haven't had this much fun with 'Warehouse 13' since last month's season premiere. This week's engaging episode was loaded with humor, heart and, of course, geeky goodness from start to finish.
We were supposed to be excited about 'Eureka' vet Neil Grayston's guest spot as Fargo (part one of a two-part Syfy crossover event that concludes this Friday on 'Eureka'), but I was more thrilled about the prospect of seeing the great Rene Auberjonois back on TV.
Sci-Fi TV Crossovers We'd Like To See
by Mike Moody, posted Aug 3rd 2010 3:45PM
It's a tech geek team-up as 'Eureka' uber-nerd Fargo (Neil Grayston) visits computer hacker Claudia (Allison Scagloitti) on tonight's episode of 'Warehouse 13.' The Syfy crossover -- which continues with Friday's episode of 'Eureka' -- was inspired by Grayston and Scagliotti's real-life friendship, the pair told reporters recently.
"Our chemistry plays so well in life that I think our respective show runners and the good people over at Syfy realized what a commodity it could be to blend these shows," Scagliotti said during a conference call on Monday.
'Eureka' - 'The Story of O2' Recap
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 31st 2010 4:30PM
(S04E04) I don't know why, but something told me this episode was going to be about oxygen, and I don't mean the cable network. That said, we did get the women of Eureka taking more of a center stage role this week, for better or worse. Even more fun, we got to check in with Zoe (Jordan Hinson) to see both how she's handling college, and if anything's changed with her in the new timeline.Jamie Kennedy ('Ghost Whisperer') flexed his acting chops -- if that means playing basically the same character as he did on 'Ghost Whisperer,' only as a scientist -- in a typically 'Eurekian' guest spot. It's always fun seeing who they can convince to come over for some of the fun. Next week promises Allison Scagliotti, in character from 'Warehouse 13,' for a crossover episode.
But first, it's a "soap box derby" race to the moon. Oh yeah, this is definitely the 'Eureka' we all know and love.
The Show Girl Does Comic-Con: Dream Guest Stars, Twitter & More (VIDEO)

I survived Comic-Con 2010, and I've got an amazing arsenal of TV star interviews to prove it. We stuck to the important stuff: What's happening next on your favorite shows, who would the stars themselves love to have guest star and -- since it was the most tweeted about geek event of the year -- what they think about Twitter.
So which fellow 'Lost' alum would Elizabeth Mitchell love to have on 'V'? How did an alien lizard queen turn the sky red? Which former 'ER' star is begging to work with George Clooney again? And why are zombies so darn awesome? Take a look for some of my favorite moments from the Con.
Comic-Con TV Highlights: Interviews with the Stars of Your Favorite Shows (VIDEO)

Comic-Con in San Diego was a whirlwind for TV fans, with panels from favorite returning shows like 'Castle,' 'V,' 'Dexter,' 'Eureka' and 'MythBusters,' to new buzzed-about zombie series 'The Walking Dead,' mysterious shows like 'The Event' and TV's newest unlikely superheroes from 'No Ordinary Family.'I was there for it all, and I've got the highlights from the press rooms, where the stars were still basking in the instant gratification from fans. So what's it like being at the Con? Some say it's 'Inception'-like, while others seem afraid to even walk the floor. Then there are the diehards -- Frank Darabont, Nathan Fillion and Elizabeth Mitchell could all be called Comic-Con royalty -- who just can't get enough.
See it all right here, then read the rest of our panel and press room coverage. And here's a very special Comic-Con episode of The Show Girl where I have more highlights, including scoop on upcoming episodes, dream guest stars and tons of Twitter talk.
'Eureka' - 'All the Rage' Recap
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 24th 2010 2:30PM
(S04E03) I guess we shouldn't say things settled down this week as our time-tossed heroes began to acclimate to their new environment. In fact, quite the opposite happened, thanks to a turn by guest star Wil Wheaton. With all those scientists working at Global Dynamics, it's always easy to slip in guest stars, isn't it?Last week we learned that alt-Fargo is a bit of a tyrant, which is something our own timid Fargo isn't quite comfortable with. Since he's in the key role of Director of Global Dynamics, the writers apparently felt they needed to explore how he fits in with the GD family, so we can better get a grasp of him in this leadership position.
In a way, I'm glad to see him in such a pivotal role if only because it never made sense that out of the rabble of scientists, this bumbling goofball was one of our principal cast members despite being "just one of the team." Plus, it's fun watching him try and pull off "confident leader."
Neil Grayston Geeks Out Over the 'Eureka'/'Warehouse 13' Crossover
by Mike Moody, posted Jul 23rd 2010 1:20PM
Neil Grayston, the Canadian actor who plays bumbling nerd Douglas Fargo on Syfy's 'Eureka,' spent his summer doing things most geeks only dream about; like tinkering with larger-than-life science experiments and cozying up to 'Warehouse 13' cutie Allison Scagliotti. 'Eureka' returned to the tube earlier this month with a rebooted timeline that turned the oft-mocked Fargo into the director of Global Dynamics, the high-tech science imaginaruim at the heart of the show.
The new timeline gives Fargo more room to grow, Grayston says, and it gives viewers a chance to experience the show in a whole new light.
Grayston will pull double duty in August appearing on 'Eureka' and visiting Syfy sister series 'Warehouse 13' in a special crossover episode. We caught up with him recently to talk about the crossover event, the new fourth season of 'Eureka,' and what it feels like to be covered in green goo.
'Eureka' - 'A New World' Recap
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 17th 2010 7:00PM
(S04E01) In the finale of the two-part season opener, we spent some more time exploring this strange new reality created in the events of the last episode. More importantly, we got a definitive answer as to which world our cast of time-tossed heroes would be staying in.As we saw last week, there were both good and bad changes in the lives of Jack, Allison, Fargo, Henry, and Jo. However, upon further exploration the very fact that everything in their world has changed means that these people really have no idea what's going on. They don't know what they've accomplished, what relationships they have with the people around them, and apparently even what conversations they had just prior to their return.
It certainly made for some fun exchanges throughout the hour. As we saw briefly, Dr. Grant also jumped ahead to this altered 2010, and this week we learned more about him.
