'Dancing with the Stars' - Finale Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted May 26th 2010 2:00AM
(S10E19) The finale of 'Dancing with the Stars' had the smart notion of mixing in new routines with unnecessary fluff instead of just silly group dances or musical guests. We get to see the return of Buzz Aldrin and Kate Gosselin even though both don't get close to the final three contestants.Finale starts off with a big group opening. I found it funny that Buzz and Kate stood with each other and didn't move much. It's like the Miss Universe pageant where the bad dancers are stuck in the back.
Niecy has a minor solo while all the pros have intense spins on the main stage. Kate is the most awkward during the soul train section. She couldn't even get walking and holding a fan right. Five bucks says she never practiced. Chad had a football related injury, but it seems like because of time constraints, we never get to talk to him again.

'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #6: Results' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted May 5th 2010 2:00AM
(S10E13) Last night's 'Dancing with the Stars' provided several of the celebrities' personal best scores including the first 30 of the season. The group dances forced the scores closer to each other. The results begin and I'm taken aback to Brooke Burke looking like a poor man's Carmen Electra tonight. We start off immediately with Nicole & Derek and Erin & Maks. While Nicole & Derek are safe, Erin & Maks are in the dreaded bottom two.
Len's recap basically hyped how much he thought the episode went. It was because after Jake's elimination the dead weight is gone. It turns out that Nicole's dress was stuck when she did her low spin and landed on her bum thus causing the giggle moment I complained about last night.

(S10E12) It's the dreaded team challenge on 'Dancing with the Stars' and for once, both teams are dancing the same style: the cha-cha. I never understood why the team dances were totally different styles anyway. The images of Susan Lucci trying her best to cha-cha back in Season 7 flashed as Pamela started to struggle to remember her choreography, but both teams coped well with the producers whims.Tonight judge Carrie Ann Inaba considered Nicole to be the best celebrity dancer she's ever seen. Clearly she's been drinking the tainted water. I haven't seen a female contestant get close to the great dancing skills of Kristi Yamaguchi. Nicole continues to still be hard in dances that need a gentle nature though she made strides this week with her waltz.
A Perfect Score on 'Dancing With the Stars' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted May 4th 2010 1:55AM
The highest score that a couple can receive on 'Dancing With the Stars' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC) is 30 points. That's a perfect score of ten from each of the three judges. Which is exactly what partners Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya got on the latest episode of the show.'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #5' Recap

(S10E10) With Kate Gosselin gone from 'Dancing with the Stars,' the show can finally get to actual competition. Her disappearance from the bottom of the score board has now vanquished scores below 20. The contestants have two dances: either the Samba or Argentine Tango and the Swing Dance Marathon.
'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #4' Recap

(S10E08) An interesting little marquee decorates the 'Dancing with the Stars' stage representing movie night. While most of the cast get interesting movies that could channel actual dances moves ('Pulp Fiction,' 'The Breakfast Club,' 'Risky Business'), Chad Ochocinco was given the Disney favorite 'The Jungle Book.' After all these weeks of sexual tension with Cheryl, they couldn't give him 'Shaft' or connect with his football roots with 'Remember the Titans' as their song?
'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #3' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Apr 13th 2010 1:34AM
(S10E06) The format of 'Dancing with the Stars' continues to borrow from other reality shows by creating different themes each week. This week the contestants will be scored by both technique and performance. The scores are still out of a 30. For the rumba and the tango, the judges will be looking for three specific dance moves. As the couples walk down the stairs, Maks tries to signal someone by tugging his ear and almost trips down the stairs. Kate continues to tell her children that she loves them via bad hand signs.
I had a problem with Brooke tonight. Not only did the crossing ribbons on her midsection make her look fat, was she pronouncing celebrity names incorrectly? Luckily, the filler this week were very interesting demos from professionals that didn't make the cut this season.
Is Johnny Weir Hinting Evan Lysacek Is Gay? (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 31st 2010 4:34AM
A chat about Johnny Weir's roommate situation in the Olympic Village took an intriguing turn last night on 'Chelsea Lately' (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!)."I know Evan Lysacek is the other [American male figure skater], do you two get along?" asked host Chelsea Handler.
"No," Johnny quickly replies.
"But you did roommate [sic] with his ex-girlfriend or girlfriend?"
Johnny gives a knowing glance her way and says, "...his 'ex-girlfriend' Tanith." Then he ventures a subtle wink to Chelsea but the camera catches it for everyone to see.

Bonnie Hunt Flirts With Olympic Figure Skater Evan Lysacek (VIDEO)
by Harley W. Lond, posted Mar 18th 2010 9:18PM
Is Bonnie Hunt going out with a bang now that 'The Bonnie Hunt Show' (weekdays, syndicated) is coming to an end? A couple of days ago she engaged in some sexual innuendo with Olympic figure skater and Food Network star Brian Boitano and on Thursday's show she began to flirt with Olympic figure skater champion Evan Lysacek (we're beginning to see a pattern here). And what's most interesting of all, Lysacek (25 years Hunt's junior) flirted back. "I feel like you're flirting with me and I want to know if you're on the market?" Hunt asked him. "I am flirting with you, correct," Lysacek said. "On the market, correct."
Go Bonnie!

'Dancing With the Stars': Who Waltzes Away With a Win?
by David Hofstede, posted Mar 15th 2010 3:00PM
It's that time again. The celebrities have been gathered from across the sports and entertainment spectrum to show off their ballroom skills (or lack thereof) on season 10 of 'Dancing With the Stars' (Mon., March 22, 8PM ET on ABC). This year, there aren't any outsized fan bases among the participants, as there was last season with Donny Osmond, who took home the show's mirror-ball trophy over competition that was a little more polished on the dance floor. Hopefully, that means the results will be decided more by dance ability than popularity. Here's how we rank the season 10 contestants and their odds of winning:
