EXCLUSIVE: 'The Office' Covers 'Closing Time' (VIDEO)

by Crystal Bell, posted Nov 3rd 2011 10:45AM
The Office Closing TimeSome days, we really wish Andy Bernard was our boss. OK, more like most days, but then we would probably never get any work done. In fact, does anyone at Dunder Mifflin ever do any work?

Judging from this exclusive clip of tonight's episode of 'The Office,' that looks like a no. But if you had to ask us what we would rather be doing at 5PM on a weeknight -- working or jamming out to Semisonic's 'Closing Time' -- we would definitely choose the latter.

'The Office' is known for their completely random cold opens, but this just might rank as one of our all-time favorites. It could be the 90's nostalgia or Andy's uninhibited desire to have an "end of the day tradition," but there's something about this clip that just makes us want to go home.

EXCLUSIVE 'Repo Games' Sneak Peek (VIDEO)

by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 16th 2011 3:45PM
Repo GamesThough the concept of Spike TV's 'Repo Games' is slightly disconcerting -- real-life repo men give people the opportunity to win their cars back via a basic trivia game -- it actually makes sense once you think about it. After all, the contestants were getting their vehicles repossessed anyway, why not give 'em a chance to get them paid off instead?

Show creator SallyAnn Salsano told AOL TV in April, "People say to us, 'You must feel so bad because you do have to take some of the cars.' We've been about 50/50, I would say about 50 percent of the people have won Repo Games and 50 percent have lost. That being said, when we show up at their house, they've already lost. It can't get any worse. So it's like we're just giving them a chance to win. Nobody, when we leave, is in a bad space."

AOL TV has a sneak peek of tonight's 'Repo Games' episode, in which one contestant tries to identify an "autocumulous." Can you? Watch the video below.

EXCLUSIVE: 'Alphas' Sneak Peek

by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 8th 2011 5:10PM
AlphasNow, we're not saying that fog automatically makes things scarier, but when coupled with an abandoned football field at night, things can get pretty eerie.

But the teenage couple featured in AOL TV's exclusive preview of tonight's all-new episode of 'Alphas' didn't seem to let the creepy atmosphere get to them. And even mysterious clanging didn't interrupt their makeout session on the bleachers.

Wait until you see what finally freaked them out!

EXCLUSIVE: 'Mad Men' Star to Guest on New CBS Drama 'A Gifted Man'

by Maureen Ryan, posted Aug 5th 2011 3:25PM
Cara Buono'Mad Men' actress Cara Buono will guest star on the new CBS drama 'A Gifted Man' this fall.

Buono, whom 'Mad Men' fans will recall had a recurring season 4 role as psychologist and advertising consultant Faye Miller, will play a very different kind of professional woman in an October episode of 'A Gifted Man.' Like Miller, her character is self-assured and strong, but on the CBS show, she's a charter-jet pilot who meets neurosurgeon Michael Holt at a cocktail party, and he first thinks she may have carpal-tunnel syndrome but finds that there may be more going on.

The medical drama 'A Gifted Man' is one of my favorite pilots for fall. You might find that surprising, given the description of the show, which could be summed up -- without giving too much away -- in this way: "Top New York doctor has a very unusual relationship with his ex-wife."

Life & Style, Farrah Abraham new boyfriendAs any avid 'Teen Mom' watcher knows, the ladies have had more than their fair share of relationship troubles over the years -- especially Farrah Abraham, whose high school sweetheart died in a car accident before their daughter, Sophia, was born.

The MTV reality series has featured Farrah going on a few dead-end dates, but it seems the Iowa native has finally found a new guy. The 'Teen Mom' opens up to 'Life & Style' this week about her new boyfriend, 23-year-old Daniel Alvarez.

AOL TV has an exclusive preview of the article, in which Farrah describes the truly bizarre way they got together: a blind date via a woman Farrah met in a New York airport. "She said, 'I have a friend you should go on a blind date with.' It's the most random way I've ever met somebody," Farrah told the mag.

by Jean Bentley, posted Jun 29th 2011 8:00AM
Catelynn Lowell, Tyler Teen MomWe didn't know how much we missed the original cast of 'Teen Mom' until we watched in horror at the inexplicably bad decision-making by the MTV show's second iteration.

Thankfully, the first four ladies are back next week with the return of the original 'Teen Mom.' Catelynn Lowell and her fiance, Tyler Baltierra, a.k.a. the most grounded couple on the series, gave their baby up for adoption on their episode of '16 and Pregnant,' but are now opening up about the family they'd like to have in the future.

EXCLUSIVE Sneak Peek: 'The Nine Lives of Chloe King'

by Jean Bentley, posted Jun 13th 2011 5:00PM
Nine Lives of Chloe KingWith the premiere of 'The Nine Lives of Chloe King' tomorrow night, ABC Family is finally getting in on the supernatural action that's so popular among teen-centric television, literature and movies these days.

The series follows a San Francisco teen who finds out she's the key to protecting an ancient, super-powered race from evil assassins. Sounds far out, but it's actually very relatable -- especially the performance from star Skyler Samuels.

In AOL TV's exclusive sneak peek below, watch Chloe have a normal conversation with her BFF -- if your idea of normal banter is "I think I died today," that is.

EXCLUSIVE: Check Out a Deleted Scene From the 'Louie' Season 1 DVD

by Jean Bentley, posted Jun 10th 2011 12:30PM
LouieThe second season of 'Louie,' the FX comedy from standup comedian Louis C.K., premieres in two short weeks. But if you can't wait until June 23 for your fill of cynical (but hysterical) musings on parenthood and New York City life, AOL TV is here to help.

In this exclusive deleted scene from the Season 1 DVD set, available on DVD and Blu-ray June 21, Louie puts his parenting skills to work as he begs and pleads his youngest daughter to apologize for her tantrum. It's nice when we see his softer side, no? Observing the prickly comedian's vulnerability is one of the show's most endearing traits.

EXCLUSIVE: Syfy's 'Alphas' Spotted in the Wild

by Jean Bentley, posted Jun 6th 2011 12:30PM
Alphas sneak peekThere's something fishy going on in this breakdancing video.

Dude's clearly skilled, but that head spin at the end looks like an upside-down figure skating spin -- not an ability found in nature. Well, it is found in nature in the world of Syfy's new series 'Alphas.'

Scheduled to premiere Mon., July 11 at 10PM, 'Alphas' follows a group of people gifted with powers beyond the average human (think 'Heroes' or 'X-Men'), like the breakdancing guy in our exclusive clip.

Interested? Check out our exclusive video below, along with a new trailer. You can also visit Syfy's fun site alphapowers.com to learn more about what, exactly, Alphas can do.
