Shows like Burn Notice and Leverage, for instance. Regarding Leverage, there's good news to report. TNT will air two extra Leverage episodes in the weeks ahead.
Lauer extends Today contract
by Adam Finley, posted Apr 11th 2006 6:06PM
There's been a whole lotta talkin' about Katie Couric leaving Today, and
Meredith Viera replacing her. While all that was going on, however, Matt Lauer quietly extended his contract with
the program through 2011. Originally, he was to leave the show in 2008 (he replaced Bryant Gumbel in 1997). Lauer
revealed the contract extension in an interview with the New York Times, and his statement was later confirmed
by NBC.
Despite being an early riser, I don't watch Today very often, but Lauer always seemed like the sort of guy anyone could get along with. Well, maybe not Tom Cruise. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how he and Viera work together.
