Fan Art Shows 'Arrested Development'-'Star Wars' Mash-Up
by Nick Zaino, posted Apr 6th 2010 1:29PM
James Hibberd is fond of posting fan art mash-ups on his "Live Feed" blog over at The Hollywood Reporter. In the past, he has posted the 'Mythbusters' crew with a James Bond theme, 'Futurama' in the world of 'The Fifth Element,' and Conan O'Brien as "Coco the Barbarian" and in a stylish 'Mad Men' parody. Hibberd's latest art posting is an 'Arrested Development'/'Star Wars' mash-up, in the style of the old 'Star Wars' movie posters. The poster features the Bluth clan, including Michael (Jason Bateman), Lindsay (Portia de Rossi), George (Will Arnett), and Lucille (Jessica Walter), as well as the banana stand and Tobias bare-chested in his cutoff shorts. You even get Buster (Tony Hale) in silhouette, holding his hook hand to the sky, a Bluth Industries truck, and a speeding, driverless Segue.
Eric Northman as Mr. January in the Fangtasia calendar
by Jane Boursaw, posted Aug 24th 2009 8:09PM

I just got off the phone with Alan Ball, and have I got some good stuff for all you True Blood fans! Look for that interview on TV Squad in the next day or so. I'm trying to wrap my head around all the fun stuff Alan told me about season three.
Until then, I offer you this eye candy: Eric Northman as Mr. January on the Fangtasia calendar. I couldn't find an actual Fangtasia calendar on the official True Blood site, so let me know if you know where to get this. I believe this is fan art by "Bloody Mistress" from the True Blood Wiki. If you want to look at Eric while listening to the True Blood theme song, check it out on Cast TV.
Anime versions of The Simpsons and Futurama
by Annie Wu, posted Jan 8th 2007 8:31AM
Quite contrary to the stereotype associated with my nationality, I'm not a big fan of anime. That two year phase came and went while I was still in elementary school, thanks very much. Nowadays, I find the "anime look" a little boring, so when an artist actually does something fun and exciting with it, I sit up and take notice. I also love it when people re-interpret cartoons in different artistic styles (for example, the realistic sketches of Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny on South Park a few months ago)So, when I found this artist's group shots of The Simpsons' and Futurama's ensembles, I was pretty amazed. Each character looks totally different, but it's still easy to tell who's who (a most important element in good fan-art). I think it's fantastic, but, I must admit, I'm a little disturbed by Lisa's striking resemblance to the characters of Dragon Ball. It must be a hair thing.
