FedEx: "Moon Office"
by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 4th 2007 7:06PM
In the future, you can still make shipments to your customers, even if your office is on the moon. OK, I'll buy that. And this one had cool special effects.
But it's another example of a commercial, like those car ads that show cars flying or underwater or gliding on the sides of buildings, where it doesn't say anything at all about the actual service you can provide right now in the real world. Sure, FedEx is great and I love them and I honestly do believe that in the 26th century they'll be able to deliver overnight around the universe, but I'm just curious about what these ads say about the company right now.
Oh, and one of the guys gets pushed into space and killed by a meteor or comet? Weird.
