Grrrr! Brother store steal Lou Ferrigno name! Lou Ferrigno Smash!
by Joel Keller, posted Mar 10th 2006 5:02PM
For a guy
who's been cashing in on the fame of one thirty-year-old television role, Lou Ferrigno is doing pretty well. He has a
recurring role on The King of Queens as "Lou Ferrigno" (must be a stretch, acting-wise), and he's
got a successful fitness business. So you have to wonder why the former Hulk is suing his brother Andrew over trademark
rights to the brother's business, Ferringo Fitness, which is located in northwestern New Jersey. Not that he doesn't have an argument; even though Lou does not participate in the business, his brother, who took the business over from their late father, has been displaying pictures of Lou as the big green guy for a number of years. There are also a lot of design elements in the store that are green. So they're giving customers the impression that Lou is an owner when he really isn't, and profiting off his name and image without his consent.
