Another Old Cast Member is Coming Back to 'Lost'

by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 18th 2010 11:29AM
LostFans of 'Lost' know that this is the season where a lot of old favorites come back to the show, whether they're dead or not (well, mostly dead).

We've already seen Boone (Ian Somerhalder), Claire (Emilie de Ravin), Helen (Katey Segal), and Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell - we assumed she died in the season finale last year but she popped up again for a teary goodbye with Sawyer). And now another well-loved character is coming back.

Who? Someone close to one of the characters above...

Which 'Lost' Cast Member Might Be Getting Killed Off?

by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 9th 2010 4:32PM
The second episode of 'Lost's' final season airs tonight, but they're actually done filming over a dozen episodes this season, so they only have a few more to film before the cast says goodbye to the show forever. One cast member says that his survival at the end of the show is "unlikely." Spoilerish info after the jump.

A Lost Television Moment

by Stephanie Earp, posted Feb 2nd 2010 10:17AM

In 2000, I decided to go back to school and finish my degree. In case you're wondering, I took classics and women's studies, and I'm sure you can tell it served me well. That summer I arrived on campus about three weeks before school started, and one Sunday I headed to the campus pub hoping to make some new friends.

It was August 23, 2000, just a little after 8 pm.

I made no friends that night. Instead I practically had to jump up and down in front of the bartender to get her attention away from the television. The bar was packed and utterly silent. Everyone was watching what I now know was the second-highest rated finale of the decade, that the people in bar were only a handful of approximately 51.7 million viewers watching the 'Survivor' season finale. And I knew I was completely and hopelessly out of it.

'Lost' Final Season DVD Coming This Summer?

by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 1st 2010 2:00PM
LostThe final 16-episode season of 'Lost' hasn't even started yet (we'll have a live chat tomorrow night for the season's premiere) and already there's release date for the DVD for that final season.

VideoETA and TVShowsOnDVD have announced that ABC and Disney will release a DVD set (both regular and Blu-ray) for the final season of 'Lost' on August 24. The set will include various features such as a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the final season (and the show in general), interviews with cast and crew, audio commentaries, bloopers, deleted scenes, and hopefully some answers that we probably won't get when the show ends.

Lost + Petula Clark = awesome parody song

by Bob Sassone, posted Jan 27th 2010 2:30PM
This is an extremely clever song for the last season of Lost, courtesy The Fine Brothers. It wonders if the writers of the show are actually going to answer all of the questions posed by the first five seasons. And it's all done to the tune of "Downtown" (original after the jump!)

Here are eight very cool Lost posters

by Bob Sassone, posted Jan 27th 2010 11:30AM
Lost posterAre you having a Lost party for the season premiere next week? Ty Mattson is, and he has creative eight fantastic posters/party invites for the show.

I like the one on the right, but my favorite is the one after the jump. It has a cool retro look about it.

Other countries are getting all the cool Lost promos

by Bob Sassone, posted Jan 25th 2010 4:28PM
We're not getting many glimpses of the new Lost season (except this promo, which has about 1 second of new footage), but they're getting some overseas. This is a Spanish teaser for the new season, and the cast actually participates in this one.

Wanna see a sneak peek of the first new episode of Lost?

by Bob Sassone, posted Jan 1st 2010 4:00PM
LostWe told you yesterday about the clues that are beginning to leak about the final season of Lost, but the heck with that. How would you like to be one of the first people to see actual footage from the first episode?

The show is having a sweepstakes where 815 (of course) winners will get a special message sent to them that will have a sneak peek of the first episode. You have to go to that link and answer six questions about the show, but if you're excited enough about the new season to actually enter a contest then you probably know the answers.

The new trailer for Lost is really lame

by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 30th 2009 4:33PM
ABC has released a short teaser for the upcoming last season of Lost that starts in January (probably). Take a look and tell me if you find it as lame as I do.

There's no new footage! Come on ABC, give us one quick scene, a piece of dialogue, the back of someone's head, a shadow, something.

Here's the poster for the final season of Lost

by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 15th 2009 3:26PM
Lost posterEvery season ABC releases a poster for that season of Lost. And every season, dedicated fans try to figure out if there are any clues hidden in the poster (here's a bigger version).

Here's the poster for the final season, which starts in January. Looks pretty basic at first, just the logo and the entire cast (though please note some of those cast members!) at the top. But the letters of the show's titles look like they have symbols in them. Go crazy fans!

Do you have good enough grades to get into Lost University?

by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 23rd 2009 3:25PM
Adults are always urging kids to "stay in school," but they don't usually say which school. What if there was a university dedicated to all things Lost?

ABC has launched a web site for Lost University, an online school that starts on September 22. There are two semesters (or one final season), and courses include "Introductory Physics of Time Travel," "I'm Lost, Therefore I Am," and "I'm Right, You're Wrong: The Us vs. Them Mentality." There's also a Smokey Patrol, a campus security service run by students, and a Drive Shaft cover band contest.

The university will be at Comic-Con this weekend too, dropping clues about what all this means.
