Fred Durst Tells 'Chelsea Lately' About Getting the Band Back Together (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Jun 15th 2011 8:15AM
Fred Durst on 'Chelsea Lately'Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst stopped by 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) to promote the band's new album, 'Gold Cobra.'

He was telling a bored-looking Chelsea Handler about how and why the band members parted ways a few years ago and why they eventually got back together again.

"There's a certain chemistry between us ... we started missing each other ... so we kissed and made up."

The kissing part certainly seems to have piqued Handler's interest. Suddenly more alert, she sat up and asked, "Literally? Is that what really happened? Did you guys get drunk?"

House: House's Head

I'm here to see Cuddy strip. Is that all right with everyone else?(S04E15) Do you remember what you were doing on May 16, 2004? Think hard, it's important. Seriously, that information could determine exactly how you feel about tonight's episode.

On May 16, 2004, The Sopranos aired an episode called "The Test Dream." Tony, reeling from an impending separation and problems in Mafia-town, went a little funny in the head and spent most of the episode engaged in the longest, most weirdly symbolic dream sequence in the history of television (until, that is, the show broke its own record two years later). If you remember, fans of the show were pretty angry; my father, for instance, shot out his screen, Elvis-style.

Anyway, I'm going to guess that you either loved that episode or hated it. How you felt about it probably informs how you felt about tonight's House. My own feelings about it are simple...

Mystery rocker stars in new reality series

by Julia Ward, posted Dec 6th 2006 9:29AM
Fred DurstThe producers of VH1's Surreal Life and My Fair Brady have another card up their sleeves. They're currently casting twenty bachelorettes to live in a Hollywood Hills mansion and compete for the love of "one of the 90s hottest rockers." They're keeping the name of the rocker under wraps, but claim that he's a "famous, sexy, bad boy rocker" and "lead singer of a famous 90s rock band."

This Flavor of Love-type premise requires some real loons to make it work. Idolator has made a few guesses at who said bad boy might be. They've floated Adam Duritz of Counting Crows, Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind, Steve Harwell of Smashmouth and Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit. I'd find it way more humorous if someone like Eddie Veder or Billy Corgan had decided that they were going to try and undermine the genre by colluding with it, but Idolator's list makes sense. I'd say the smart money's on Durst or Duritz. Anyone interested in auditioning?
