by Kelly Woo, posted Feb 12th 2010 9:45AM
Boston Rob SurvivorLast night's 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villain' premiere featured many of our favorite former players (Tom! Rupert! Cirie!), but we have to admit that the one we most wanted to see again was infamous "Boston" Rob Mariano.

Boston Rob, as you may recall, has competed already in two previous seasons of 'Survivor' -- season 4's 'Marquesas' and season 8's 'All-Stars.' There, he met and fell in love with fellow contestant Amber Brkich, who ended up winning the big prize while he took second place. As a couple, they competed in two seasons of 'The Amazing Race.'

Hot Video: 'Dr. Horrible'

by Hillary Busis, posted Aug 6th 2008 3:00PM
Can't wait for the premieres of 'Dollhouse' or 'How I Met Your Mother'? 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog' will help tide you over.

The 42-minute internet-only musical, written and directed by 'Buffy' and 'Firefly' creator Joss Whedon, stars Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, a would-be supervillain whose yearns to join the Evil League of Evil.

If catchy tunes, Whedon's signature brand of offbeat humor and a gut-wrenching twist of an ending sound like your kind of thing, you'll love 'Dr. Horrible.' Just be sure to watch it soon -- although the video is now available on Hulu, there's a chance that it might disappear and only be available for purchase on iTunes.

Episodes of Talk Show with Spike Feresten on MySpace

by Adam Finley, posted Feb 4th 2007 3:02PM
spike ferestenThis has probably been available for awhile, but I just found out that full episodes of Talk Show with Spike Feresten are available on MySpace. Feresten was a writer for Seinfeld and his new Saturday late night talk show on FOX is quite entertaining, and also the perfect length: it's only half an hour. The problem is, it's on Saturday nights so most people probably don't get a chance to see it, or they're already immersed in Saturday Night Live. If you're curious, you can watch the episodes here. I'll admit the show isn't flawless, but Feresten is a likable host, and I think the series has potential given some time to figure out what works and what doesn't. Most late night talk shows go through a kind of trial period when they first start out, and this one is no different. Also, the "Comedy for Stoners" bit at the end of every episode is pretty damn funny.

CW streaming full episodes

by Adam Finley, posted Jan 21st 2007 12:01PM

one tree hillThe CW is now streaming full episodes of select series on its site. Right now you can watch episodes of Everybody Hates Chris, Veronica Mars, One Tree Hill, Girlfriends, Beauty and the Geek, The Game, All of Us and Supernatural. As far as I can tell, it looks like episodes are added soon after they air on television, so there are no "sneak peeks," at least not yet.

Also, for you Mac users out there, the in-browser player should work just fine. According to the site's FAQ, the player will work in Firefox, too. I'm completely useless when it comes to technology, so if I'm wrong about that, share your complaints in the comments and we'll all break into The CW headquarters together and demand they scrap this player for a better one. Also, we'll snag Kristen Bell for this cloning project I've been working on.

I encourage y'all to also check out this list of sites where you can watch full-length episodes. Note that this is a list of legitimate sites, not torrents or sites like YouTube. Of course, if you use those methods, what do I care?

Marlomania on TV Land's web site

by Adam Finley, posted Dec 3rd 2006 8:02PM

free to be you and meOh man, does this bring back memories. My fellow Gen Xers surely remember the album and television special Free to Be You and Me, featuring a ton of stars, including Marlo Thomas (who produced the special), Mel Brooks, Alan Alda, Harry Belafonte, Shel Silverstein and many others. My sister and I used to listen to that album all the time, and hearing that title song again brought back a lot of memories.

Right now you can watch the complete TV special on TVLand.com, along with full episodes of That Girl. The series, along with the Emmy-awarding winning Free To Be You and Me special, will air as part of a 48-hour marathon the weekend of December 9. I'm going to watch the special now, since I didn't even know until recently there even was a TV special, I always thought it was just the record album. I guess I was too engrossed in our little Fisher-Price record player to pay attention.

Entire Daily Show and Colbert episodes are now on MotherLoad

by Joel Keller, posted Nov 1st 2006 1:16PM
Jon StewartA few TVS readers have pinged us on this, in a kind of ear-flicking fashion that, while annoying, at least gets our attention (I'm talking to you, Jim):

After Comedy Central asked that clips of their shows be pulled from YouTube, many of them came back. It turns out that CC only wanted longer clips and full episodes pulled. And it turns out they did that for good reason: full episodes of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are now available on CC's broadband video channel MotherLoad. Each episode's four segments are offered as separate video streams, but they're organized by show and episode on the slection panel to the right of the video screen, so going from one segment to the other should be pretty easy (the player will likely just move to the next segment automatically).

Not sure how long this is going to stick around, but if you miss the 50 reruns of TDS/Colbert that CC usually shows the next day, you can at least watch it at MotherLoad.
