All Of Your Favorite Actresses Star in This New Funny Or Die Video

by Chris Harnick, posted Dec 6th 2011 12:30PM
Funny or Die Home for ActressesMegan Mullally, Lake Bell, Lizzy Caplan, Casey Wilson, Aubrey Plaza, Ellie Kemper and Michaela Watkins have teamed up for a new Funny Or Die video, 'Home for Actresses.' See, we weren't kidding with that headline.

In the new video, Mullally plays Peggy Dvorak, the owner/headmistress of an institute that acts as an "in-patient" facility for actresses to learn how to be cooler. As if the likes of Plaza, Wilson and Caplan needed help getting cooler.

She's not teaching acting, because "acting can't be taught," no, Peggy teaches these very funny ladies "how to be cool." From fashion tips to dating do's and don'ts -- date a guy with a drug problem -- Peggy has advice for all situations.

Check out the video below.

by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 20th 2011 1:20PM
Kiernan Shipka Funny or DieWe love Kiernan Shipka. We also enjoy Funny or Die videos. When the two meet? Genius.

In this new video, Shipka decides to play psychologist to child stars because of all she's learned from Sally Draper's sessions on 'Mad Men.' Can she help 'Modern Family' scene-stealer Nolan Gould stop making witty asides? Will she be able to help 'Toddlers and Tiaras' breakout star Eden Wood see her real face?

Find out in the video below! Plus, look out of a surprisingly funny self-deprecating appearance from 'Boy Meets World' star Danielle Fishel.

Rachael Ray Gets a New Catchphrase on Funny or Die (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted May 23rd 2011 5:30PM
Rachael Ray on FunnyOrDie.comDoes Rachael Ray need a new catchphrase? Probably not, but the good folks at Funny or Die tried to find one for her anyway in a new video, which received its "world premiere" today on 'Rachael Ray' (weekdays, syndicated). The video featured actors playing marketing folks tossing out ideas for Ray's new catchphrase while Ray batted them down, one by one.

Some of the contenders? "Where's the beef?" "Mmm mmm goody foodie scrumptious time, I'm Rachael Ray, let's have dinner soon because my tummy is a-growling and it's already eight o'clock." Also, just the word "catchphrase."

In the end, Ray came up with the winner herself. "Shove It" is her choice, and it appeared with Ray's smiling image on the Jumbotron in Times Square at the end of the video. In the image, Ray is holding a bunch of carrots. We prefer "goody foodie scrumptious time."

Jerry O'Connell Tries Out for 'Two and a Half Men' As Charlie Sheen on 'Lopez Tonight' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Mar 10th 2011 3:53AM
Jerry O'Connell, 'Lopez Tonight'With Charlie Sheen nixed from 'Two and a Half Men,' CBS is in the thick of figuring out what to do next with the number one comedy on television. Jerry O'Connell created his own audition for the hit show on Funny or Die and brought it with him to 'Lopez Tonight' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS).

The clip featured O'Connell doing a pretty funny Sheen impression, harassing a female "goddess" on the set, and even taking his method form of acting so far as to pee in a cup right there in the audition room and demand it be tested.

When no one took him up on it, he drank it to prove it. After watching, O'Connell had mixed feelings about it. Things have changed in the short time since it was filmed way last week.

Katie Couric Investigates The Sillies (VIDEO)

by Ryan McKee, posted Mar 8th 2011 6:30PM
'CBS Evening News' anchor Katie Couric has held some big feet to the fire during her career, like Sarah Palin and George Bush. Now she's gunning for some small feet -- preschoolers.

In a video for Funny or Die, Couric investigates the Sillies, a condition that affects millions of children every day. To cure these episodes, parents and teachers usually have the infected children jump around, shake their arm, kick their feet, etc. However, with her bulldog instinct, Couric digs into whether the Sillies are real thing or just a ploy by the young to misbehave.

While the veteran newscaster is known for her composure and playfulness alike, few have seen Couric do something this goofy. She proves her sense of humor and willingness to poke fun at herself, since the video essentially spoofs her career. The expressions alone she gives while interviewing the children make this a viral must-see.

Owen Wilson Explains a 'Hall Pass' to Kids in 'Funny or Die' Sketch (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Feb 23rd 2011 4:30AM
Owen Wilson Explains 'Hall Pass' on Funny or DieIn 'Hall Pass,' Owen Wilson plays a man whose wife grants him one week's break from their marriage. He can live the bachelor life, and all that that entails. But how would one explain such a "hall pass" to some little kids? The actor uses a dessert metaphor in a Funny or Die clip he shared on 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

"You can only have blueberry pie for the rest of your life," he tells the boys at a birthday party. "That would be awesome," says one. Wilson continues, "But imagine after you've had it a million times. I mean, don't you like apple pie? You can't have those anymore. It's just blueberry pie."

"Can I stick my finger in another pie?" he asks innocently. Wilson says, "There are no loopholes: There's no licking, there's no fingering [another] pie ... It's just blueberry pie."

4 TV Pairings We Want on 'Between Two Ferns' (VIDEO)

by Ryan McKee, posted Feb 16th 2011 4:32PM
Between Two FernsZach Galifianakis is a master at turning awkwardness into hilarity. While Steve Carell and Ricky Gervais also possess that skill, the bearded comedian does it in his own unique way with supreme subtlety and silliness.

A perfect example of that is his Web series on Funny or Die called 'Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis.' He plays a less famous, simpler-minded version of himself and interviews celebrities as if he knows very little about their careers. Stars who have appeared include Conan O'Brien, Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, Bruce Willis and Charlize Theron.

One of the best episodes of 'Between Two Ferns' is also the most recent. Galifianakis opens by interviewing MySpace phenom and reality star Tila Tequila. After a minute, he announces they have another guest, Jennifer Aniston, but wants Tequila to stick around (as if they're on a late-night talk show).

Teens Can't Wait to Watch 'Skins,' Thanks to the PTC (VIDEO)

by PopEater Staff, posted Feb 2nd 2011 7:30PM
SkinsThe Parents Television Council is accusing MTV's 'Skins' of featuring child pornography, called it "dangerous" and tabulated more than 40 instances of drug, sex and alcohol abuse in only the first episode.

To which teens say: Thanks for the heads-up!

From Funny or Die comes a video of teens who are grateful for the PTC's watchdog campaign, which has just spread the word about the potentially-corrupting show. The more the PTC whines about nudity and drug use, the more these teens can't wait to indulge ... in the show.

'Traffic Light''s Nelson Franklin Explains Dudes-N-Bros (VIDEO)

by Ryan McKee, posted Feb 1st 2011 6:02PM
Fans of 'The Office' are probably watching the previews for Fox's new show, 'Traffic Light,' and thinking, "Hey, that guy with the hipster glasses looks familiar."

That guy is Nelson Franklin and he's familiar because he played Nick the I.T. worker that everyone at Dunder Mifflin treated poorly. Franklin left the small role to pursue greater opportunity as a main cast member on 'Traffic Light' (premiering Tue., Feb. 8 at 9:30PM ET on Fox) along with another former player on 'The Office,' David Denman, who played Pam's ex-fiancee Roy.

While Franklin's new show has to be keeping him busy, he still has enough time to shoot a hilarious and educational video for Funny Or Die.

Hold Me Closer, Tony Danza

by Ryan McKee, posted Jan 18th 2011 7:45PM
There is a moment in the film 'Almost Famous' where you cannot help but laugh out loud -- even though the scene is supposed to be touching, not funny. And it involves Tony Danza.

As everyone sings along to Elton John's 'Tiny Dancer,' it sounds like everyone is saying, "Hold me close, Tony Danza."

This misheard lyric was probably missed by the generation that first heard the song. However, to a generation that grew up with 'Taxi' and 'Who's The Boss?,' it's impossible not to hear it. That is the exactly what YouTube stars Barats and Bereta are counting on with their recent video.

Rob Lowe Goes Nuts On 'Parks & Recreation' Cast (VIDEO)

by Ryan McKee, posted Jan 18th 2011 4:30PM
No former '80s teen movie star/hearthrob has embraced television as enthusiastically as Rob Lowe.

After the film industry proved to be fickle, Lowe relaunched his career as Sam Seaborn on 'The West Wing' and then as Senator Robert McCallister on 'Brothers & Sisters.' He also did a turn as the hilariously bad yet charismatic politician Chris Traeger on 'Parks and Recreation' last season, and guest starred on the new season of 'Californication' as a unbalanced movie star.

So, Lowe seems to really love being on TV. And the cast of 'Parks and Recreation' found out just how much in this Funny or Die exclusive where they tell Lowe the show debuts its third season on Jan. 20 after a prolonged break.

Heather Morris in 'Nuthin' But a Glee Thang'

by Jean Bentley, posted Jan 11th 2011 2:40PM
Heather Morris, Nuthin' But a Glee ThangIt was only a matter of time before the Internet's most reliable spoof-generator joined forces with TV's most spoof-worthy show. Ladies and gentlemen, we present 'Nuthin' But a Glee Thang.'

Co-written by Heather Morris, whom we already knew was a badass, the Funny or Die skit is a take on Dr. Dre's 'Nuthin' But a G Thang.' With the help of two girlfriends and a whole mess of 'Glee' cast members, Morris raps about Matt Morrison's funniest stalker ever, her disturbing obsession with her costars and and a Jane Lynch blow up doll.

A funny bonus comes at the beginning, when a tracksuit-clad Sofia Vergara winkingly references her 'Modern Family' costar Ed O'Neill's misreported comments about Jane Lynch. (Side note: How do we get Sofia Vergara to hang out with us?)

Look for cameos by Morrison, Cory Monteith, Harry Shum and Naya Rivera, and stay tuned for some sweet dance moves at the end.
