Will Ferrell Continues Gloria Allred's Display of Inappropriate Acts With a Bat (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 11th 2011 3:08AM
Will Ferrell, 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'Jon Stewart has been having fun with Gloria Allred's recent press conference regarding the anti-gay accusations against Atlanta Braves pitching coach Roger McDowell on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central). His main point of contention surrounds a masturbatory simulation with a baseball bat that McDowell allegedly did in front of a family.

The problem, as Stewart sees it, is that Allred had the same act performed at her press conference in front of the same two young girls who allegedly witnessed McDowell simulating the sex act on a baseball bat, which led to the lawsuit she's trying.

by Chris Harnick, posted Jan 26th 2011 11:40AM
Mark BurnettMark Burnett isn't getting his OWN show. Well, one of his OWN shows.

According to Variety, the Oprah Winfrey Network has shut down a daytime talk show that was being developed by reality guru Mark Burnett.

OWN executive Christina Norman made the decision, saying the network is focusing more on its primetime slate of programing. The talk show was going to have multiple hosts, similar to 'The View' and 'The Talk.'

This isn't the end to Burnett and OWN's partnership. Burnett is executive producer on 'Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star.'

Greta Van Susteren Cross-Examines Gloria Allred About the Meg Whitman Housekeeper Controversy (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Oct 4th 2010 3:26PM
Whether on not Meg Whitman knew that her longtime housekeeper was an illegal immigrant has become a crucial issue in her race against Jerry Brown for California governor.

Camera-happy attorney Gloria Allred, who brought former Whitman maid Nicky Diaz into the public spotlight, appeared on 'On The Record With Greta Van Susteren' (weekdays, 10 PM ET on Fox News) and tried to make the case that Whitman was aware of Diaz's undocumented status.

Not only did Van Susteren, who is also a lawyer, disagree with Allred's argument, but she made the case that the evidence Allred was citing proved the exact opposite of what Allred was claiming it proved.

"This is almost delusional . . . this is where you'd get barbecued in court," Van Susteren explained to Allred, waving a copy of a letter from the Social Security Administration to the Whitman family that questioned the social security number Diaz had provided them. "It has (Whitman's) husband's handwriting on it. Her handwriting is not on it. And it says, 'Nicky . . . please check on this, thanks."

"This doesn't show Meg Whitman knows (that her housekeeper was undocumented.) It shows her husband was confused by it," Van Susteren concluded.

We're not lawyers, and Judge Judy wasn't available for comment, so we're not sure where about the legal points being debated here. Then again, whether or not Allred's charges would hold up in a court of law probably doesn't matter much in the court of public opinion.

Attorney challenges Richards on the Today show

by Joel Keller, posted Nov 22nd 2006 9:48AM
Gloria AllredOne of my favorite one-off jokes from The Simpsons was when some interview show (conducted by Kent Brockman, of course) had Gloria Allred as a guest. In pure Simpsonian fashion the graphic below her identified her as "Gloria Allred: Shrill Feminist Attorney."

That's what I was thinking when I saw her on the Today show this morning. Apparently, she's representing the targets of Michael Richards' racist tirade last Saturday, Kyle Doss and Frank McBride. And, in true grandstanding fashion, she decided to take the opportunity to challenge Richards to meet the two men he yelled at and have a retired judge arbitrate the "compensation" they deserved (Video is here).

They deserve compensation? For getting yelled at? Who's kidding who, Gloria?
