Kristin Chenoweth Is a 'Good Christian Belle'
by Rae Votta, posted Jun 19th 2011 5:00PM
Kristin Chenoweth is returning to TV full time early next year as part of ABC's mid-season comedy 'Good Christian Belles.' In the meantime, the multi-talented actress took time away from her busy schedule this week to visit New York to co-host 'Live! With Regis and Kelly' as well as support Wendy's and their fifth annual Father's Day Frosty Weekend (June 18-19) where 50 cents from every Frosty sold benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. We chatted with Chenoweth about the campaign, plus her role on 'Glee,' her upcoming TV show and her new album. You're set to star on a new show, 'Good Christian Belles.' What other TV show would you compare it to?
I'm glad I can't think of another show to compare it to. It takes places in a world I haven't seen before on television -- the church. You know all these women no matter what religion you are. And this is a world I know really well, growing up in the Bible Belt.
You work with Annie Potts on 'GCB,' what's she like?
She's a dream come true, exactly the kind, wonderful sweet southern woman you expect her to be. She reminds me of my aunts. I miss all my girls, we filmed the pilot and then we got picked up and we don't start filming again until the end of July.
We know it's easy, but any dream guest stars for the show?
I'm a big fan of Debbie Monk and Shawn McBride, actors who just take stuff and run with it. I also think of my friends like Molly Shannon, it would be fun to work with old friends, but also fun to make new friends.
Upcoming TV Pilots We Can't Wait to See
by AOL TV Staff, posted May 5th 2011 9:00AM
So-so Internet buzz hasn't put a damper on our out-of-control excitement over 'Battlestar Galactica' mastermind Ron Moore's new pilot, '17th Precinct.' Why?

Well, for one, it's been described as "'Harry Potter' meets 'Law & Order,'" the greatest combination of two separately amazing things since someone first decided to pair chocolate and peanut butter together. Two, the cast list includes 'BSG' alums Jamie Bamber, James Callis and Tricia Helfer, along with 'Smallville' vet Kristin Kreuk and the inimitable Stockard Channing. And three -- wait, you need more incentive to get excited?
Aside from the police procedural of our dreams, here are a few other potential fall series the AOL TV staff can't wait to lay our eyes upon.
