GQ's 'Glee' Photo Shoot Continues to Be Controversial, For Some Reason

by PopEater Staff, posted Oct 21st 2010 1:30PM
GQ Editor on 'Glee' Photo Shoot: 'They're Old Enough to Do What They Want'GQ's sexy photos of 'Glee' cast members are still making headlines. After the Parents Television Council said the photo shoot "borders on pedophilia," featured star Dianna Agron apologized on her blog to offended parties, but also issued a defense.

"In the land of Madonna, Britney, Miley, Gossip Girl, other public figures and shows that have pushed the envelope and challenged the levels of comfort in their viewers and fans, we are not the first," she wrote. "If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?"

Meanwhile, GQ editor in chief Jim Nelson responded to the Parents Television Council, telling The Insider: "The Parents Television Council must not be watching much TV these days and should learn to divide reality from fantasy."

'Glee' Girls Gone Wild in GQ Photoshoot

by Ryan McKee, posted Oct 19th 2010 8:00PM
'Glee' stars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Dianna Agron are featured in a significant photo spread in November's issue of GQ magazine. At some point during the shoot by photography Terry Richardson, the girls lost most of their clothing.

"I don't know how they got me to do half the stuff I did," says Lea Michele.

Hmm, we're guessing they just asked her. Michele doesn't seem to have a problem flashing skin since she also went topless this month in a photo spread for Marie Claire UK. She also appears more confident in the exhibitionist shots than her counterpart Agron. Is Michele already focused on burning off her good-girl, high school student image?

As for Monteith, he just looks happy to be there - as would any man. Click here for the full gallery.

Ted Danson in GQ: "I'll Answer to Ted, But Not to Malone."

by Scott Harris, posted Jan 21st 2010 11:40AM
Ted Danson has played a wide variety of roles over the course of his long and winding career. Next month, though, he takes on his most challenging role yet: GQ model.

Yes, the one-time 'Cheers' star is going to the magazine where everyone knows your inseam. But besides showcasing an array of stylish menswear, Danson also took the time to dish to GQ about his role on 'Damages,' his off-screen work with conservation groups and his ground rules for fan interaction. "I'll answer to Ted,' he says, "but not to Malone."

Jay tried to make up with Dave; Dave didn't respond

by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 15th 2009 12:03PM
Letterman, LenoYup, it looks like Dave and Jay still aren't on speaking terms.

Who knows who is less interested in burying the hatchet? Publicly, it has always seemed that Jay would like to be friends with Dave again more than Dave wants to, though that might just be how Jay wants to frame it (it helps Jay's cause that Dave hardly ever gives interviews and is quiet on this subject in particular).

Now Jay tells GQ that he sent Dave a letter when Dave had his heart surgery several years ago, but was bummed when Dave didn't respond.

Jennifer Aniston likes being naked on the cover of GQ

by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 11th 2008 5:00PM
Jennifer Aniston is nekkid on the cover of GQFirst off, welcome to all of you who were searching for "Jennifer Aniston" and "naked."

The former Friends star/former wife of Brad Pitt/30 Rock guest star is on the cover of the January issue of GQ, which I always forget stands for Gentleman's Quarterly because it's a monthly magazine. It's probably like how we're supposed to forget that KFC stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken. It's just GQ now.

Anyway, she's pretty much naked on the cover of the issue, except for that tie of course (she's also nude inside the issue). The cover has a certain 'deja vu' quality though (at least for me), and after a little digging I found out why.

Aaron Sorkin feels guilty about Studio 60, meets with HBO

by Bob Sassone, posted Aug 13th 2008 2:21PM
Aaron SorkinRemember Studio 60? It was a little show that not many people had opinions about, and no one here really talked about it that much. But creator/writer Aaron Sorkin is talking about it, to GQ.

Sorkin actually feels guilty about the entire thing, because he knows he screwed it up. He tells Mickey Rapkin that the ultimately the show didn't work because he made too many mistakes:

I was too angry when I wrote Studio 60. The show became like the cover of Abbey Road. Everybody was trying to figure out who this character was in real life or what that incident was trying to be.

Gervais likes American TV comedies more than British

by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 13th 2006 8:51AM
Ricky GervaisHey, me too!

Great interview in the UK edition of GQ (it's up at Gervais' site) where they talk about everything from The Office to The Simpsons to the state of British television to his home life and the fact that he wears "unremarkable" V-neck sweaters, T-shirts, and trousers.

Any of our overseas friends want to dispute his claims, or do you agree with him?

(Oh, and does anyone know what "abstemious" means?)
