Should Nicolas Cage be the Green Hornet villain?

by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 21st 2009 8:01PM
The Green HornetI'm not sure if Green Hornet fans are looking forward to the new big-screen movie based on the 60s TV show that starred Van Williams and Bruce Lee. First they grimaced when they found out that Seth Rogen was not only writing the movie but would also play The Green Hornet (even if he has slimmed down), and now comes word that Nicolas Cage might play the villain.

Is this a good or a bad thing? Cage can be uniquely awesome in some roles but alienating in other roles.

Should Nicolas Cage be the Green Hornet villain?
Yes, he'll be great!100 (28.4%)
No, he'll ruin it!173 (49.1%)
What the heck is The Green Hornet?79 (22.4%)

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are writing a Simpsons episode

by Brett Love, posted Jun 6th 2008 9:38AM
Seth RogenEvery time I see Seth Rogen, and that is quite often lately, I'm taken back to my first introduction to his work with Freaks and Geeks. Did you ever think back then that he was going to be the huge breakout star from the show? Apparently he is, as everybody wants to work with the artist formerly known as Ken Miller.

Earlier this week our pals over at Cinematical reported that Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg now have a release date for their update of the cult classic Green Hornet. And now comes word that the pair, who previously worked together on Pineapple Express, Superbad, and Da Ali G Show, are writing an episode for The Simpsons. While talking with Collider, Rogen explains that after meeting James L. Brooks at a party he figured he had an in with The Simpsons. He was right, and after pitching 5 ideas for the show they got the gig. Animation schedules being what they are the episode won't make it into the upcoming season, but it's something to look forward to.

Jack Bauer's history of kills

by Brett Love, posted Jan 14th 2007 7:29PM
Keifer SutherlandFox is set to kick off the new season of 24 with a two hour premiere tonight. To get you in the mood, have a look at this list of all the people Jack has killed in his first five days. If you're playing along at home, Jack's kill count stands at 136 going into day 6. Not a bad 120 hours worth of work.

This isn't just any list though. Along with who Jack killed, each entry has a video or picture of the kill as well as the method or weapon. It's well done, and the kind of crazy fanaticism that makes television and the internet a great match. Imagine how hard it was back in the day for Green Hornet fans to track the kills of Britt Reed and Kato.
