Jessica Capshaw on Lesbian Kissing in 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 18th 2010 3:30PM
Jessica Capshaw, who plays a lesbian on 'Grey's Anatomy,' said it's awkward kissing both men and women on camera. But, she thinks there's perhaps a bit more honesty present in a girl-girl kiss, she said on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated). "Kissing scenes with a boy or a girl, they're awkward. There's nothing sexy about it. There's a lot of people standing around," Capshaw said. "With the ladies, I do have to say you're a little more honest with each other maybe. There's a sisterhood. There's a vulnerability, where you can go, 'You brushed your teeth, right?'"

5 Reasons Katherine Heigl Should Leave 'Grey's Anatomy'
by Laura Prudom, posted Mar 12th 2010 6:35PM
The doctor is out. Almost. After six years of doomed love affairs, a hallucinatory boyfriend and a battle with cancer, Izzie Stevens is reportedly hanging up her stethoscope for good. According to Michael Ausiello, blonde beauty Katherine Heigl has succeeded in negotiating a release from her 'Grey's Anatomy' contract with showrunner Shonda Rhimes; all that remains is for ABC Studios and Heigl's reps to work out an exit agreement, and Heigl will have her freedom.

'Grey's Anatomy' - 'Push' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Mar 12th 2010 4:06AM
(S06E17) Chandra Wilson gets the opportunity to direct her own date this week on 'Grey's Anatomy.' Previously, she directed the episode 'Give Peace A Chance.' Sadly, the episode was not really substantial in any form or fashion. It followed the mold of the patients shaping the doctors (Teddy shouldn't be a bitch, Richard needs to calm down and see the big picture, and Arizona still doesn't want kids). While everyone was working in a buddy system this week, in all truth, the only two pairs that worked were Meredith with Derek and Meredith with Christina. Maybe this show should return to the fact that it's 'Grey's Anatomy,' not 'Torres' Anatomy.' Meredith successfully called out Owen for being wishy-washy, and the five seconds of her with Derek was the best relationship in the whole episode.
Bailey Gets Some Romance on 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 12th 2010 1:16AM
Well, Bailey! So now we know you've never had sex with anyone other than your ex-husband. That's admirable, but you've got this (really) hunky guy on the hook, so we're hoping that changes sometime in the near future. We know you're still working all that out, though. No rush. And it's nice to see you getting some action in the romance department, because the writers have mostly focused on the younger interns on 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thu., 9PM ET on ABC). You, go, Bailey.

'Grey's Anatomy' - 'Perfect Little Accident' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Mar 5th 2010 3:28AM

(S06E16) I don't understand why it took 'Grey's Anatomy' fifteen minutes to run the credits on the bottom of the screen. They even included Katherine Heigl's name, and she didn't show up in the episode. How does that woman still get top billing? It's great that Izzie wasn't around, she would have been one too many. Luckily, the two mousy women weren't around in this episode. Do all four Mercy Westers ever show up together anymore?
I have a feeling that this week the writers took a step backwards. There were a lot of funny moments, mostly led by Cristina, but some of the plotline wasn't the strongest. The patients of the week didn't steer the doctors in any direction like previous weeks. Instead, the three patients followed the title, and one little accident changed their lives for the better.
Derek Shepherd Gets Tough on 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 5th 2010 1:09AM
Ooh, remember when Derek Shepherd was just another hot doctor at Seattle Grace, making eyes at a certain intern and going about his neurological business? Now he's the big, bad chief who has to make the hard decisions, whether it's ordering a patient to abide by his wishes or telling the former chief that he'll do that surgery, gosh darnit, and Bailey will assist.
It's ok, though. We know that underneath that snarly business persona beats the heart of a hot doc with great hair on 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thu., 9PM ET on ABC).

Jesse Williams Talks 'Grey's Anatomy Action'; Ellen Gives Him a 'McNickname' (VIDEO)
by Harley W. Lond, posted Feb 25th 2010 6:18PM
Ellen DeGeneres surprised 'Grey's Anatomy' newcomer Jesse Williams on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) with an old photo of him naked from the waist up. "I hope that 'Grey's' doesn't think they're gonna get some of that action," Williams said. But if they do, he wants advance notice so he can run some laps. "You don't look like that anymore?" DeGeneres asked. "No, I think I'd be like 'McGut,'" Williams responded. And speaking of that, Ellen said, 'Grey's' has doctors nicknamed McDreamy and McSteamy -- so she unilaterally came up with one for Williams -- and gave him a gift to boot. Check it out.

'Grey's Anatomy' - 'Time Warp' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Feb 19th 2010 9:40AM

(S06E15) It's the dreaded flashback week on 'Grey's Anatomy,' and we follow three flashbacks: Bailey, Callie, and the Chief, each following one of their first cases at Seattle Grace. All the flashbacks were because Derek reinstated Lecture Day. The Chief is finally getting back on his feet with 45 days of sobriety and was invited to speak. While we had actors portraying young Richard and young Ellis, Bailey and Callie adjusted their hair to represent youth.
While seeing a very yellow Seattle Grace in 1982, the one thing that was amazing was that the soundtrack for the Chief's flashbacks tapped into the '80s soundtrack. Anytime we have the Go-Go's 'We Got the Beat' and Hall & Oates' 'Maneater,' I approve of the episode.
Young Miranda Bailey Dishes it Out on 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 19th 2010 1:20AM
It's so funny to see Bailey as a young intern with a deer-in-the-headlights look on her face on 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thu., 9PM ET on ABC). But she could dish it out, even back then."The patient doesn't get prodded, probed, scoped or cut open like a Thanksgiving turkey, you supercilious fool!" she yells at the resident.
And then the history between Bailey and the Chief really shows itself when he plays a little game of making it look like he's scolding her, when in fact, he says, "You're gonna make a hell of a surgeon, Dr. Bailey."
It adds another layer of poignancy to that scene a couple of weeks ago where she gave the Chief a pep talk about cleaning up his act.

What to Watch: February 18
by Kim Potts, posted Feb 18th 2010 6:00AM
'Grey's Anatomy' (9PM, ABC)What time is it at Seattle Grace, boys and girls? It's flashback time, as we finally get a chance to delve into the oh-so-unexamined lives -- we kid -- of Richard, Bailey and Callie, via flashbacks to some of their most dramatic, life-altering surgical cases. The blasts from the pasts play out in the present as the three are asked to impart their experiences in McDreamy's revived hospital lecture series. For Bailey, her big case takes her back to the early days of her residency, when she was shy and in competition with another resident (Bailey, shy??). Meanwhile, Callie recalls working with a polio patient, and Richard goes down memory lane to a case involving AIDS -- before it was called AIDS -- where his partner was a young Ellis Grey.
