Lost may get a delayed start next season

Lost, meet 24. ABC is reportedly considering waiting until January 2008 to start season four of Lost, and then run it straight through May without any repeats (like Fox does with 24). The revelation comes from a SciFi Wire interview with Naveen Andrews, who plays Sayid on the series. Andrews said, "I believe that's the plan."This is probably a better plan than what Lost did this year. We only got to see six new episodes, and then the series went on a 13-week break. Ever since its return last month, Lost has lost 1-2 million viewers. It could also be the move to the 10 pm time slot that dinged the ratings.
The interview also reveals how Andrews feels about the direction of the show. Without getting angry or too specific, he basically says that he thought the first season was awesome, but he's not so hot on the subsequent seasons. He says he'd sure like to see more Sayid in the show (wouldn't we all?!?). About the writers, he says, "It's their choice to do what they want with that show, and they will." He sounds mildly unhappy, doesn't he?
