HBO biker series to star Donal Logue

by Allison Waldman, posted Apr 12th 2008 2:01PM
donal logueEverybody wants Donal Logue. Just one month after NBC added him to the cast of NBC's Life, as Charlie's new boss, now comes news that HBO has booked Donal Logue as a biker in 1%. The new pilot casts Donal as a character named Misfit, a Silicon Valley member who's sent to Carefree, Arizona, to get one of the toughest biker clubs in the west in line. Also joining Logue in the show are W. Earl Brown (Deadwood), Timm Sharp (Undeclared), Lucy Punch (hilarious in The Class as Holly Ellenbogen), Marisa Ryan (New York Undercover) and Sonny Barger. Barger is an actual biker and has been enlisted to no doubt add realism to the project.

Third Rock show-runners to run Cavemen series

by Joel Keller, posted Apr 9th 2007 1:41PM
CavemenIf there were any doubts that the new Cavemen series was going to be a drama, this news should put them to rest...

According to The Hollywood Reporter, comedy veterans Bill Martin and Mike Schiff have been signed to run the new show, based on the extremely funny GEICO ads. They have a pretty good pedigree; they created Grounded for Life and were the show-runners for Third Rock From the Sun. They're also responsible for The Singles Table, a show NBC picked up for mid-season but has yet to air.

It seems like a good matchup, since Third Rock was also about a group that was trying to make their way in a strange environment. They've already made some small changes to the pilot script; the pilot itself starts shooting today, according to the article.

NCIS: Suspicion

by Brett Love, posted Jan 17th 2007 10:45AM
Michael Weatherly(S04E12) After what was an all too long winter break, our pals at NCIS are finally back with a new episode. It's an important episode for the show. This season has seen the shows audience grow to be a top ten contender, but now things have changed. The gorilla is back in the building and it will be interesting to see how NCIS holds up against Idolmania.

There was a lot going on here. Aside from the case of the week there was some foreshadowing of coming stories and a crazy cliffhanger ending. I'll get to that in a minute, but first a look at the little town of Edenvale. It was obvious where they were going with the town when Tony and McGee started in with the dueling banjos. Boondocks. I can't believe that their little concert didn't warrant dual headslaps from Gibbs though.
