'Glee' Halloween Costume: Will Schuester

by Rich Keller, posted Oct 25th 2010 4:00PM
What do you need to dress like Will? Sweater Vests and Skinny Jeans. How to dress up like Will Schuester of 'Glee' for Halloween

The Costume: New Directions leader and Spanish teacher Will Schuester from FOX's mega-hit 'Glee,' played by the talented Matthew Morrison.

What You'll Need: Skinny jeans and sweater vests. This is the standard outfit for Schue in his role as glee club director. You can supplement with some button-down shirts and skinny ties, but the jeans and vests are mandatory.

You'll also need some skin-tone putty to enhance your chin as well as add a little cleft. Nothing too drastic; just enough for someone, Sue Sylvester, for example, to say that they want to put a diaper on it because it looks like a baby's bottom.

'Chuck' and Jeffster Vs. Halloween and Robert Englund

by Kim Potts, posted Oct 25th 2010 11:40AM
Zachary Levi Robert EnglundWithout spoiling too much of the fun in tonight's Halloween-themed episode of 'Chuck' (8PM ET, NBC), note the spelling of the ep title: 'Chuck vs. the Aisle of Terror.' The "aisle" in question is a little corner of the Buy More, and the "terror" comes courtesy of -- who else? -- Jeffster!

With manager of all things Buymoria Morgan (Josh Gomez) busily helping his spy cohorts, he has to delegate when it comes time to get the store all decked out for Halloween, so he turns to Jeff (Scot Krinsky) and Lester (Vik Sahay). The fellas come up with some fine decorations, though their piece de resistance is something that's very, well, Jeffster.

What to Watch: October 25 - 31

by Stephanie Earp, posted Oct 24th 2010 8:00PM
Dead Set - Sunday October 31, 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, Space

This BAFTA-nominated series from the UK is just the latest example of how well Brits do zombies. The show has been running all month, but tonight you can catch all five episodes back-to-back. The premise is simple and elegant: a zombie outbreak coincides with the filming of a new season of 'Big Brother' and the contestants have no idea what's happening in the outside world. It falls onto Kelly, a young production assistant, to beat back the hordes of the undead from the studio. This is gore-heavy-- definitely not for kids.

'United States of Tara' Halloween Costumes

How to dress up like Tara's six alters from 'United States of Tara' for Halloween

The Costume:
Tara's (Toni Collette) six alters from 'United States of Tara.' Put these costumes together as a group or choose your favorite one for yourself.

What You'll Need: This show offers a wealth of costume possibilities, but beer-guzzling biker Buck is the most recognizable if you're going solo and has the most potential for fun. When Tara transitions into this profane troublemaker, she always wears a trucker cap, extra large metal-framed glasses, sleeveless flannel shirt, faded tank-top, old acid-washed jeans and big black biker boots. The colors and logos change slightly. While picking items, just ask yourself if a drunken Vietnam War veteran would wear them.

'Arrested Development' Costume: Never-Nude Tobias Fünke

How to dress up like Tobias Fünke from 'Arrested Development' for Halloween

The Costume: 'Arrested Development's' Dr. Tobias Fünke (David Cross) suffers from the extremely rare "never-nude" syndrome. He must wear very short jean cutoffs at all times to prevent anyone from ever seeing his pelvic region.

What You'll Need: Before choosing this costume, consider the weather forecast for Oct. 31st or make sure you'll be at an indoor party all night. This outfit won't protect you from the elements. It also lends very little to the imaginable so you cannot be easily embarrassed. That said, if you go through with it, people will give you bravery points all night.

Take an old pair of jeans, the more worn-out the better, put them on and mark a line three to six inches down from the top of your legs. Remove the paints and cut along the line with a pair of shears to detach the legs. Make it as jagged as possible because the more strings that hang down, the better.

'Sesame Street' Costume: Katy Perry

How to dress up like Katy Perry from 'Sesame Street' for Halloween

The Costume
: Katy Perry from her 'Hot N Cold' duet with Elmo. This turned out to be the most controversial 'Sesame Street' moment in recent memory -- making for a perfect sexy/ topical costume.

What You'll Need: Find a lime green dress that shows off your cleavage. It's difficult to find Perry's exact outfit, but plenty of similar ones appear when you Google search "spaghetti straps lime green dress."

The important thing is your cleavage be apparent. We're hate sounding like perverts, yet her low-cut dress is the whole reason parents became upset. Few people will remember the exact dress, but they will remember the cleavage.

The Costume
: The busty blonde of 'Tardy for the Party' and 'Google Me' infamy. If you've ever wanted to wear a devastating wig -- this is your chance.

What You'll Need: As young as this new season is, Zolciak is already drawing weirded-out looks and damning criticism for her beloved wigs. Whether tousled or poufed out, you need a tired, long blond wig that's less Lady Godiva than waves-gone-wrong.

The Costume: Bert Cooper (played by Robert Morse), the elder statesman of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce on 'Mad Men'.

We are already missing SCDP's wisest mad man (did he really retire? Just like that?). Anyone resplendent in Bert attire at the end of the month would be a welcome Halloween presence.

The Costume: Talk show legend Conan O'Brien, longtime NBC late night employee and the new franchise player at TBS.

What You'll Need: Stilts, if you are vertically challenged. At 6'7', Conan is the size of an NBA guard. OK, Conan is actually 6'4", but we're adding a few extra inches for the mane of thick strawberry hair with a life of its own.

'Modern Family' Costume: Mitch and Cam

How to dress up like Mitch and Cam from 'Modern Family' for Halloween

The Costume:
TV's new favorite life partners Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) from 'Modern Family.'

What You'll Need: First, you'll need another person. This is a great costume for buddies with a sense of humor, a gay couple or even a straight couple.

We'd like to say this costume works for anyone. However, the fact of the matter is one of you needs to be noticeably larger than the partner to pull it off. That's why this can be a great costume for a man and woman, with the latter donning a fake red beard and short red wig to be Mitch. (A guy may also have to get the beard and wig if he doesn't have the correct hair color or can't grow a beard.)

What You'll Need: A wig of long, sleek, black hair, for starters -- something that will border your face ever so slightly.

Add to that a tight sweater and jeans, sun dress, or a sexy number that your college-aged son thinks shows too much cleavage for a woman your age.

Snickers Makes Creepiest Candy Commercial Yet (VIDEO)

by Ryan McKee, posted Oct 5th 2010 4:10PM
Don Draper has shown us the difficultly of putting an artistic touch in advertising. Well, Snickers has nailed it with a Halloween commercial that is both oddly hilarious and creepy as hell.

The shopper reacts like any of us would if we were accosted by a seven-foot tall, insane person with a pushy love of candy who knows us by name.

You can't really scream, but you would feel shivers through your entire body while walking briskly the other way. And what do you say once you get to the register? That you don't want that many Snickers? Do you tell management what you just saw at the risk of sound crazy yourself?

Sure, we've over-thought this 30-second commercial, but that's our job.
