EXCLUSIVE: 'Happy Endings' Spoofs a Popular Reality Show -- Figure It Out!

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 22nd 2011 8:40PM
'Happy Endings' - 'Full Court Dress'Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) is taking her love of fashion to the next level on this week's 'Happy Endings,' designing a dress for sister Jane (Eliza Coupe) to wear to a charity event.

In 'Full Court Dress' (Wed., Nov. 23, 9:30PM ET on ABC), the quirky Chicago shop owner reveals that she's been figuring out how to sew with an online sewing class, and the Web site may or may not be a total rip-off of 'Project Runway,'* complete with the second step-cousin of guru Tim Gunn,** Nick Gun, as the instructor.

(*For legal purposes, we should probably say that it isn't a rip-off. Even though it is.)
(**There's really no relation whatsoever.)

We've got the exclusive sneak peek at the blinking, flashing, fluorescent mess of a Web site for Situation Walkspace. Let's take a look, shall we? And fair warning: Get ready to be suffocated by the cutting edge of fashion.

'Happy Endings' Season 2 Premiere Sneak Peek

by Jean Bentley, posted Sep 27th 2011 11:35AM
Happy Endings Season 2 PremiereIf you're not hooked on the hilarity that is ABC's 'Happy Endings,' first you should probably get yourself to a retail establishment that sells DVDs and purchase Season 1 immediately. But after that, you should watch this sneak peek of the Season 2 premiere, which airs Wed., Sept. 28 at 9:31 PM ET on ABC, and try not to get hooked.

In 'Blax, Snake, Home,' the gang decides to take advantage of Alex and Dave's honeymoon suite a year after their aborted wedding. As usual, things go horribly awry. Watch AOL TV's sneak peek of the Season 2 premiere and try not to laugh. It might be impossible. This show is a-mah-zing.

And because we love you, check out AOL TV's interview with the cast about Season 2 over here, and get an early look at Megan Mullaly's guest spot below.

EXCLUSIVE 'Happy Endings' Season 1 Outtake & DVD Giveaway

by Maggie Furlong, posted Sep 20th 2011 10:00AM
'Happy Endings' is so damn funny. Have I mentioned that before?

(OK, you seriously don't know? Just a few examples of my 'Happy' praise here, here and here.)

While we're stuck waiting for Season 2 to premiere next week (Wed., Sept. 28, 9:30PM ET on ABC), all we can do is read about the fabulousness of Megan Mullally and Fred Savage coming to play, watch sneak clips and re-watch Season 1 (out on DVD today). Speaking of re-watching it, we're also giving away a copy to one lucky reader.

One thing you haven't seen? This deleted scene from one of the funniest episodes of Season 1, 'The Shershow Redemption,' featuring hilarious guest stars June Diane Raphael and T.J. Miller, as well as Penny's flaming fake fiance.

In "Cake Arrives Early," Brad and Jane's best-laid plans for their own renewal of vows overlap a bit with their old pal's less-than-stellar wedding. Shrimp for everyone! Don't mind the black groom/white bride on the cake ...

'Happy Endings' Cast Talks Season 2, Quotables & Dream Guest Stars

by Maggie Furlong, posted Aug 30th 2011 12:00PM
'Happy Endings' does for me what most shows can't: It makes me laugh out loud at least five times an episode. That sounds like it should be a quote on one of their billboards, but I can't help myself -- the cast is hysterical, the writing spot-on and the jokes perfectly inappropriate.

I gushed about it here and here, and I've even gotten my colleague Mo Ryan to love it*, too. (*OK, that's an exaggeration, but I at least helped shame her into giving it a second chance. I'm still set on reaching my ultimate goal: to get her to love it without laundry.)

I've been re-watching episodes online, patiently waiting for Season 1 on DVD (releases Tues., Sept. 20), but I'm greedy when it comes to good comedy. I want more.

So of course I couldn't wait to catch up with the cast -- Elisha Cuthbert, Zach Knighton, Casey Wilson, Adam Pally, Eliza Coupe and Damon Wayans Jr, as well as creator David Caspe -- at their Paley Center screening and panel last night. Check out the interviews after the jump for Season 2 stories, teases for new ah-MAH-zing character quotables, returning guest stars and a few big name celebs they wouldn't say no to either.
