Selling an Alien-Communications Device on 'Hardcore Pawn' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Dec 29th 2010 7:00AM
On 'Hardcore Pawn' (Tue., 10PM ET on TruTV), one man offers up "a two-way radio that communicates with aliens." Les Gold, company patriarch of Detroit's family-run American Jewelry and Loan, is extremely skeptical. Especially since it's really a broken DVD player."They come on my TV. I see 'em from another galaxy and planet," says the prospective customer. "I think Jesus Christ comes on it too, but mostly just aliens."
Gold says he'll take the "radio" if the guy can prove its otherworldly communication skills. When it doesn't work, the man claims Gold broke it, and he's getting "Al Sharpton down here."
Mayim Bialik Promoted to Series Regular on 'Big Bang Theory,' Long Wait for 'The Walking Dead' Season 2 and More
by Chris Harnick, posted Nov 16th 2010 1:30PM
The sun is surely going to shine for Mayim Bialik. The former 'Blossom' star has been promoted to series regular on CBS's 'The Big Bang Theory.'Bialik's deal is for this season only and does not call for her to appear in every episode, Deadline Hollywood reports. The previously recurring guest star first debuted at the end of last season and has popped up a handful of times this season.
This move is similar to one made earlier this year with recurring guest star Melissa Rauch. She's also signed as a regular for this season and not contracted for all episodes.
Since 'Blossom,' Bialik has appeared on many shows, including 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' 'Bones' and most recently 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager.'
