A thank you to the Hanso Foundation
by Bob Sassone, posted May 4th 2006 3:14PM
This is funny. In the closing credits for Mission: Impossible 3, there is a "thank you" to the Hanso Foundation, a wink from director J.J. Abrams towards his TV hit Lost. The reviews for the film so far, including the one above, say that this film is the most like the television show on which it is based, which I think is a great thing. I loved the first flick, but the second one was rather lousy.

J.J. Abrams to direct Jimmy Kimmel Live
by Bob Sassone, posted May 2nd 2006 6:44PM
Yeah, that's not a typo.
Lost/Alias/M:I:3 mastermind is going to
direct the May 12 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. This isn't a first for Kimmel's show. Quentin Tarantino has directed the show before (and if you ever saw that episode, it was ...surreal). They'll be plenty of guest stars from Abrams TV past and present, including someone from Lost. I also expect to see hatches and smoke monsters and maybe Kimmel jumping off a building or something.
Lost second season DVDs coming September 5
by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 27th 2006 12:24PM
Heck, the second season isn't even over yet and
here we are with news about the DVD set. Buena Vista
Entertainment has tentatively scheduled the second season set to be released on September 5.Which means it will be timed perfectly for you to watch the last episode of the season over and over and over again in slow motion and freeze frame, trying to figure out the season-ending cliffhanger in time for the third season opener that will happen in late September.
Josh Holloway on marriage, money, and manliness
by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 27th 2006 10:12AM
Lost star Josh Holloway seems to
be everywhere. I count him on the cover of at least three magazines lately, including the current issue of Men's
Health. Inside, he talks about issues important to men, including what he would do if he was really marooned on an
island with the Lost gang:"If I was single? Damn, I'd have one girl doing my laundry, one shaving me, one bringing me a cocktail, and another one coming out of my tent hungover."
On money:
"Do good work, put your heart into it, love it, have fun, and the money will follow. Or not."
And why Sawyer is such a popular character:
"Men are tired of getting their balls cut off!"
Michelle Rodriguez is going to jail - BREAKING NEWS
by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 25th 2006 7:48PM
Michelle Rodriguez doesn't want to do community service.Yup, the Lost actress has pleaded guilty in her drunk driving case and has actually chosen the fine and five days in jail rather than perform 240 hours of community service. She is going to surrender to authorities in Hawaii at the end of today.
Maybe she should spend five days in the hatch?
Was Henry Gale on Lost last season?
by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 12th 2006 6:40PM
That's the buzz on the web right now.
Take a look at the pics on the right. The first guy is the "Henry Gale" we know from the show. The second pic
is a screen cap of a character from the first season of the show, who was in the "Numbers" episode, as someone
in the mental institution. Are they the same person?Personally, I'm not convinced. The guy on the right looks like a character actor whose name I can't think of right now. But they do look a bit alike. What do you think?
Here it is: the Lost map
by Anna Johns, posted Mar 30th 2006 2:17PM

After weeks of idling, Lost finally gave us a juicy nugget in last night's episode. It came in the form of a glow-in-the-dark map on the inside of a blast door. It appears to be a map of all the Dharma Initiative hatches on the island, and something in the middle signified with a giant, pink question mark. It looks as though all the hatches were meant to lead to that middle spot, but they weren't finished or were blocked off (as marked with X's). Maybe that's what the concrete is that Jack and Sayid found.
According to this guy, who evidently stayed up all night decoding the map, it has several phrases, such as "Sursum Corda", and "I Am Here" on the Swan hatch (where the characters are). There are several other phrases that I'm guessing are in Latin.
Here's another, deconstructed version of the map with a lot more text (somebody has Hi Def TV!).
What do you see?
Lost: One of Them
by C.K. Sample, III, posted Feb 15th 2006 10:56PM

Tonight's episode of Lost focuses on Sayid's past, beginning in a flashback with Sayid being captured by Americans during the Gulf War. I have to say from the previews, I was expecting a lot out of this episode, and unfortunately, in comparison to all the other recent episodes, I was sorely let down. There was no mention of Sawyer's coup from the last episode. No concern over his stockpile of guns. That entire story line was virtually dropped and we were left with a comic relief subplot featuring Hurley and Sawyer as if they were in some weird buddy cop movie, trekking through the woods of the island in search of a tree frog that had been keeping Sawyer awake at night. What's the deal with Sawyer and animals? In the first season, he chases down that baby boar who steals his tarp and in this episode he's pulling the same, "I'm going to track it down and kill it...
