'Project Runway' - 'Sew Much Pressure' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Apr 2nd 2010 3:03AM

(S07E11) In a 'Project Runway' first, not only do we have one quitter, we have two. In the first fifteen minutes, Maya realized that she's still too young to be ready to show for the finale. I found it weird because the show likes putting a mix of designers together, including people right out of school like Daniel Vosovic or Jillian Lewis. While Maya may have been using other designs as influence during the show, she would have had several months to find inspiration before the finale show. With that being said, I respect her decision and wish her the best.
The second quitter comes from one of the models. Valeria gets a high end gig. As a model, that is probably the best decision. She had moderate exposure on a television show, and managed to get a gig from a high end clientele. Take the money and run.
'Project Runway' Sneak Peek: Six Become Five (VIDEO)
by Chris Harnick, posted Mar 30th 2010 12:00PM
When Tim Gunn enters a room on 'Project Runway' (Thu., 10PM ET on LIFE), everybody takes notice and it's usually with laughs and smiles. However, when Tim Gunn enters a room and asks to have a word with you outside, it's not all puppies and flowers. In this clip, Gunn takes Seth Aaron out of the work room and returns alone. What happened? Your guess is as good as ours, but Gunn announces, "There are five of you. We were fully expecting for there to be six." Lifetime has teased that a designer is forced to leave -- and another returns. What a hot mess!

Anthony Is Still Smiling After 'Project Runway' Elimination (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 26th 2010 8:00AM
Even though Jonathan had a "complete and utter misfire" with his "quite sad" creation, it was Anthony whom Heidi Klum and the judges sent home last night on 'Project Runway' (Thu., 10PM ET on LIFE).But he's not bitter: "I think that life has taught us that you don't have to have the crown to be the queen.... Never in a million years did I think I would be in this place."

'Project Runway' - 'Hey, That's My Fabric' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Mar 26th 2010 3:34AM

(S07E10) Designer Vivienne Tam visited 'Project Runway' this week. The challenge revolved around creating an original textile using HP computers. Along with the original print, the contestants had $100 to buy supplemental fabric at Mood and two days to complete the look. Maya has the most trouble because she isn't very comfortable using patterns in general.
The concept for the challenge was great. I understand that the time spent on the HP's was just shameless advertising for their sponsor, but it was important for the challenge. It looks like so much fun to run a paintbrush against a monitor and have very accurate responses.
'America's Next Top Model' - 'Let's Dance' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Mar 25th 2010 5:18AM

(S14E03) I find it amusing when two shows start bleeding into each other. This week 'America's Next Top Model' borrowed 'Project Runway's' sponsor Bluefly.com. Granted, this isn't the first time crossover has happened between the two shows. Previous contestants like Dani (Cycle 6), Bianca (Cycle 9), and Anya (Cycle 10) have modeled for contestants on their final runway shows. Because of that, I got several commercials for Bluefly.com with Anthony announcing "Period" each time.
Ren continued to self-eliminate herself throughout the episode, and yet didn't have the guts to actually quit. Tyra must be annoyed that the person that she hand picked didn't succeed.
Emilio and Seth Aaron Win the Challenge on 'Project Runway' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 19th 2010 3:46AM
History was made last night on 'Project Runway' (Thu., 10PM ET on Lifetime), when Heidi Klum announced that two winners had won the challenge. Emilio and Seth Aaron not only worked well together, but they offered something unique to their Harlem-themed designs.
Unfortunately, Amy was sent packing, but we have a feeling her bizarre hairy breast outfit from last week signaled the beginning of her downfall.

Heidi Klum Tells Gaby Off on 'Desperate Housewives' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 15th 2010 3:32AM
Oh, Gaby. Never cross Heidi Klum! Taping toilet paper to the bottom of her Manolo Blahniks was not only dumb, but clearly, it'll come back to haunt you for the rest of your life, as you learned on 'Desperate Housewives' (Sun., 10PM ET on ABC).Then again, it was pretty fun for us, the viewers, to see you get told off by Klum. So go ahead and keep doing stupid stuff after all. In fact, we insist.

'Desperate Housewives' - 'Chromolume #7' Recap
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Mar 15th 2010 1:32AM

(S06E17) "I know that you have a secret." - Gaby to Angie
'Desperate Housewives' titles are always found in lyrics of songs written by Stephen Sondheim. This week's unusual title is no different. 'Chromolume #7' is a song in the musical 'Sunday in the Park with George.' More precisely, the Chromolume #7 is a color and light machine featured in an act of the musical.
The title fits with Mary Alice's commentary at the end of the episode saying that it's not always easy to see people's true colors and that people hide their true nature from us every day. This week, we got confirmation on Angie's secret, we learned who Sam really is, we discovered how Gaby acted when she was a high profile model, and we met Preston's girlfriend and mustache!
'Project Runway' - 'The Elements of Fashion' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Mar 12th 2010 8:30AM

(S07E08) 'Project Runway' uses this episode to appease their sponsor Garnier. With one day and $150 the contestants had to create outfits based off of the four natural elements somehow making sure that their models hair was incorporated. While I was hoping that the contestants would have had the four seasons instead, they all strayed away from being horrendously literal like Season Five's zodiac challenge. Instead, many were vague and picked blacks and grays to represent their outfits. While it is daring to go so dark, it poses the question: are these contestants afraid of color?
The Elements
Air - Jay, Jonathan, and Seth Aaron
Water - Maya and Ben
Fire - Anthony and Amy
Earth - Mila and Emilio
Jay's 'Project Runway' Trash Bag Outfit Wows Heidi, Jesse Is Eliminated (VIDEO)
by Chris Harnick, posted Mar 5th 2010 12:30PM
Any fan of 'Project Runway' knows past designers have tried their hand at trash bag couture, but we agree with Heidi Klum when she told Jay, the winner of the challenge, "What you did was truly amazing."Sensing the thoughts that were racing through the minds of the entire audience, Heidi quickly added, "And we've seen many garbage bags on 'Project Runway,' but never quite like this." However, she was not pleased with Jesse's metal outfit and called it "disappointing" and "uninspired." Quite the 180 there, Heidi.

'Project Runway' - 'Hard Work' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Mar 5th 2010 3:03AM

(S07E07) After a week off, 'Project Runway' returns with an unconventional material challenge. In this week's challenge, competitors had $150 to create an outfit from materials at a hardware store. While some competitors grab obvious things like sandpaper, sheet metal, and chicken wire, others were tempted by paint trays and washers. Luckily for Seth Aaron, he got to make something that was a bit boring, but was immune from the last challenge.
Heidi Klum on Renewing Wedding Vows With Husband Seal (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 3rd 2010 1:30PM
If there was ever any doubt that Heidi Klum and Seal are the perfect couple, this clip should put that to rest. On 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated), Klum discussed how she and her husband renew their wedding vows each year in a private ceremony followed by a larger affair with friends and extended family."It's wonderful. We love it. It's just us -- my husband, myself and the children," Klum said. "It's just a beautiful moment where we kind of say lovely things to each other ... And then all our friends and our family, usually 50-60 people, they come afterwards to join us."

'Project Runway' - 'A Little Bit of Fashion' Recap
by Michael Pascua, posted Feb 19th 2010 3:09AM

(S07E06) There have been several memorable theme challenges on 'Project Runway,' including dogs, prom, and postal workers, but this week the contestants had to create an outfit for a little girl. Of course it wouldn't be 'Project Runway' without a twist, and Tim announced that the contestants would have to create a corresponding outfit for their models.
I was confused as to how all these children managed to get invited to the show. Unlike the prom girls that all went to the same high school in season four, we never got any explanation. We'll just have to accept how cute the girls are. After seeing this challenge, I hope a future challenge will be a 'Toddlers and Tiaras' childrens' pageant challenge.
TV Casting: Heidi Klum, Paulina Porizkova to Pose for 'Desperate Housewives'
by Andrew Scott, posted Feb 12th 2010 11:00AM
Heidi Klum and Paulina Porizkova will reportedly guest on an upcoming episode of 'Desperate Housewives.' The supermodels will play themselves in the episode, airing in March, when Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) and Angie (Drea de Matteo) run into them in New York City. Somehow, we doubt they'll be on their best model behavior. [E!]More casting news after the jump.
